As a Civil Engineer I have dabbled in Railway Engineering before, but mainly I am a Highway Engineer. This game puts your railway engineering to the test in the form of a puzzle game set of hexagonal tiles! This is Railway Islands part 2!

yeah, you could walk, but could you carry a 1ton box of peaches while you walk. only an architect would think walking is better and ignore the weight just because the distance is 5 minutes

All the islands are connected via underground/underwater tunnels. So RCE is just connecting the full train network

It’s also quite interesting listening to without watching 😂. I was trying to cook and listen to it, I got very lost. The only thing that made sense was the strongest shape

1:50 at first I was like don't be silly that is clearly a Ruby. Then I googled Red Diamonds, and they do exist apparently. So Today I Learned, apparently. Thanks RCE, now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

As a women, having you casually mention that it looks like a pad is actually (oddly enough) nice. It normalizes something that is traditionally taboo to talk about. So thank you. I appreciate the normalization of something half the population has to deal with :)

Ah yes, part 2 of the "model train layout inspiration software"! Realy does get my creative juices bubbling seeing all those layouts. EDIT: Aaaa the first and second snow maps would make a fun little layout if you replace the tunnel junctions with curves!

When placing all of the obvious ones first, bear in mind that there is no point having a section going into, or out of, a tunnel that has more than one passage (that's a numbered flag thingy, for the architects)

In the level with the junction with numbers, it changes the direction immediately because the 2 sign is on the rail were the blue arrow was not pointing to

He also made the correct deduction that if it's green then it stays on that line if it's red then it's a different line it stays on, either way works.

really intresting how engineers think... well, even without pointing on the "strongest shapes". that game looks even nice, so that you might can build that as a model-railway.... the only difference to a normal model-railway planner is, that the sorts of tracks are given and you can't use more - and even the track-switches works "automatically" (that would be a horror in pulling the electronics for that - i mean, you need the switch-motor, and even 2 sorts of relais, who stays in they'r direction to archive that)...

"Like Dorfromantik, but with hexagons" ... um, I think you mean this is like Dorfromantik but with only trains. All the tiles in Dorfromantik are already hexagons.
