@smlbnl233
@smlbnl233 4 жыл бұрын
@@d.SAiNi. There are transparent locks out there where you could see the components of a lock. You could see that there are springs inside for the pins. If a manipulation inside the lock is to be done you would assume that the springs inside were removed thus you could easily assume that you need to hold it in a certain position in order to unlock the lock. Hence I could say that LPL could've figure it out easily even if he encountered it.

It’s neat to see how beneficial LPL’s knowledge of locks was. He knew exactly how far to put the key in
@kazvsty
@kazvsty 8 ай бұрын
What are you on about? The only thing that defined how far he put the key in was the fact that it was broken and he was worried if he pushed it in too far then he wouldn't be able to get it back out. Later on in the video grooves intentionally put into the key to get it out proved his fear unnecessary.

The type of screw you used in this lock puzzle looks like what is known in English as “set screw” or “Grub screw” . You likely know the following, but for anyone else wanting to know this, they are typically used to fasten one object to another such to fasten say a faucet/tap handle to the valve stem of faucet/tap, for example. They can use a variety of drive types, though one of the most common is the Hex drive type (aka Allen drive), which uses an hex or Allan wrench to screw in and remove. Set screw are typically short in length and depending on the application have different types of tip (point) ends, such the cup, conical, oval, dog, or flat.

That was a trip! Fun video and that ending/solve was just as satisfying to watch as it looked to solve. Always cool when the puzzle takes you a long time and you're still at it not getting discouraged or pissed (on camera at least :p) Thanks Mr. Puzzle always glad I subbed ^_^

In the industry we call it a "set screw" as it sets a part in place. But that was a great live solve. What a mind behind that kind of puzzle!

Looks like a regular sticking plaster to me - a 'neutral skin tone/invisible' one. Catering-style plasters are bright blue so you can find them when they fall into the soup and US restaurant kitchens can avoid $1,000,000 lawsuits... (But I'm a Brit. We don't do lawsuits. Nobody sues. If you find something ghastly in your meal you keep quiet and eat it and hope you don't get charged for it.) My 2 problems with all modern sticking plasters is they're always too short to wrap a finger properly, and the adhesive is pathetically weak. I think they're made to fall off after 2 hours so that you have to use a whole box of 40 before the wound's healed. Old plasters used to REALLY stick; taking them off after a week was actually quite painful, which is how it ought to be! I'm like you - I make my own from tape and tissue. Really aggressive tape, so the darn things stay put. Modern plasters are meant for screaming 2 year-old kiddies.

I was like ive seen this before.. then I remembered Chris Ramsey solved this puzzle on his channel, it's great to see how different people solve the same things, you two are my favorite puzzlers. Bravo Sir! Sorry about your finger. I hope you and yours are safe during these unusual times.
