Hi Abdi. I really enjoyed the vlog. The Afghani gastronomy especially. I could almost smell it myself. We have an Afghani restaurant only a few minutes away from me. I always pass it on the way to run my errands. I live in Mississauga, Greater Toronto area, Ontario, Canada. You have inspired me to visit the restaurant and check our the menu. They do have takeout so I will give it a try. Is the food spicy? I love spicy food as in India and the Punjab. I can make curry chicken or shrimp at home. The ppl are friendly enough but please watch your back. I think by now you have become very travel savy😅.

Hello! We don't use as many spices as Pakistani and Indian cuisines. Our food is simple yet delicious. You should try Afghan dumplings (Mantoo) or Qabli with Kebob. You can also try Bolani with Doogh. Thank you!

I’ve been following you for a while. Great content. Just wanted to let you know that afghans don’t say “ji ji” or “shukriya”. We say “bale” or “tashakur” - Dari. That’s why you sometimes would get looks in Afghanistan saying ji ji. It’s not our language - pashto or dari.

Even Turkish people say Tashakor! Shukri we call man and woman in Somalia but, we may add something like, Abdul Shukri (M) or Fatima Shukri (f) but Tashakor we say Shukran like Arabic.
