@@Karisma187 I grew up in the same household with a lot of aunties who spoke various dialects Djibouti, Waqooi, Xamari. And so did my Mum. And we're Ogaaden so we speak slightly differently too. Due to this influence we understand those dialects and as a result when we speak we tend to mix up words from different dialects to form our sentences. I'm also able to interchange between both the Xamari dialect and the Waaqoi dialect depending on who I'm speaking to lol.

Actually European influence on Somali is extremely limited and restricted primarily to words of new technological innovations like the radio or a modern handbag, a wardrobe etc and pasta etc This is less than 2 percent of the Somali language Somali borrows more loanwords from arabic due to our long associating of trade and common religion.. there are about 25 percent of Somali vocabulary which are arabic, almost 20 percent has been post islamic borrowings and the remaining 5 percent of the 25 percent is words that Somali and arabic share due to being from the same language family

A dialect includes not just pronunciations, but also one’s general vocabulary and grammar. P.s being from Burco I have the same dialect and accent as you. Masha Allah take care.
