The traditional Somali dance and songs, combined with modern stage and theatre, create a mesmerizing scene of enjoyment. Somalis boast around 600 dance styles, each accompanied by its own set of songs and melodies. I envision the Minnesota Somali Museum sponsoring a team of researchers to preserve and document these diverse dance styles for the benefit of future generations of Somalis and the world. Thanks to all those young Diaporic Traditionalists.

This is a tremendous Somalia when they were free until they espoused strange Arabian cultures and religion that broke into clans and tribal prejudice...one language, One religion but broken people. This was not edenic but satanic intrusive forces of hell... Somalia shall be saved at all costs in Jesus Christ name amen

It’s sad that the same Somali dances were being done a few years ago but now all the girls are super covered up. What is happening to our people? It’s like we continually lose our culture to copy other people. Now they’re changing our traditional Somali clothing to fit into a different aesthetic. It’s so disturbing.
