Jesus preached keeping the commandments which is the law. To declare the law done away with is to say that God does change. God does not change His word. If God is a God who changes, how can we count on His word to stand now and for millennia to come. If God says His law (Torah, first 5 books of the Bible that tells us how to live according to His word and not by our own devisions) will last till the end of time. Of God says He has made a special day for us to set aside that will show that we know that He is The God who saves. The Sabbath, Saturday, is the most talked about day and He e en made it a command to honor it. Sabbath day was changed by Constantine centuries ago to merge the Jews with gentiles (us) who brought in their own pagan customs and after the disciples were gone that was when the teaching gs of the disciples became corrupted. It was not until I was invited to a Messisnic congregation and heard what I felt in my heart was missing did I finally understand scripture and that we are not to sit in church and hear a 15 minute sermon on Paul. All I ever heard was Paul. Set aside a prejudices and traditions aside and try and think as a person 2000+ years ago. Get with people who can help you. Jesus/Yeshua has told us what to do, what to celebrate what to eat, how to forgive, how to live righteously. It is a wonderful walk and has changed me and my life unbelievably. Set aside your 21st century mind and believe what Jesus said. Ah. Also when the NT says all scripture is good for teaching, rebuking, etc Remember that when this wad written there was no NT only the Old Testament! That right there should speak volumes.
