From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). I wish they focused more on the mental toll prison would've taken on Jake and Rosa. They did a little for Jake but like not at all for Rosa, it seems the show forgot that Rosa went to prison at all

the part where Terry murders the mannequin is actually way worse than they treat it in the show. like the implication that he had no idea who was there and just opened fire without looking- imagine if it had been a thief. He could have emptied a clip into a potentially non-violent or even unarmed criminal.

@@Lanwarder ok yeah fine thinking about it now i'll jump on board because it was a ton of build up and the most threatening he got was telling jake he'd use him as a hostage and then kill him in a parking lot . like to be super fair he didn't expect to be ambushed and this is a comedy show so he can't be too bad on screen but it would have been fun to have him be way more sinister...

Just in case your comment was a genuine question and not a joke itself, as far I can tell the comedic answer to what the blurred gesture means is two-fold: first, it is an allusion to the fact that people in desperate circumstances are sometimes forced into selling sexual favours in order to make any headway, and second it is an over-the-top visual representation of an act so obscene that some (dark) meta-humour would be found in the fact that it does not pass the censorship required to be be shown to the viewing public outright. In both cases, the willingness displayed to do such an act (and the immediate level of detail with which he mimes it) indicates that Boyle's doppelgänger has resorted to such drastic measures multiple times already. At baseline level he is therefore either numb to the necessity of doing this unnameable deed, or has little pride left with which to feel disgust at this state of affairs. If you are looking for a more specific answer about the physical nature of the act portrayed, I cannot help unless it be to speculate that it appears aggressively penetrative in nature - which possibly reinforces the dark humour referenced above by belonging to [EDIT: A STILL] more obscure niche subculture, meaning that he has been brought low enough to regularly be turned away from servicing even the "normal" deviant appetites in an "I know that my standards are low, but they are still above YOU" situation. I may not have the whole picture [EDIT: NO PUN ORIGINALLY INTENDED], so anyone else can feel free to share if they want to add anything, but that seems to be the gist of things to me. All in all, quite the statement for how pathetically far the character is to have fallen... I hope this was somewhat helpful, -Stéphane Gérard

If the comment was instead meant as more of a critique of excessive stiffness, perhaps some mitigating factors to consider might be first that I am from half a generation back at this point (c. 1989 A.D., meaning that I wouldn't even have thought of this medium as an "app" before you termed it so), and second that I have always been drawn to earlier eras (both personally with my own grandparents/elders and in a more abstract sense with the more distant past through a passion for literature).
