I have to admit that I didn't know much about Australia (just the usual info) until I stumbled into your channel (Luxembourg/Europe here). It is funny that I am learning things about Australia on an American KZfaq channel hehe. They seem to be extremeliy friendly and have a really great sense of humor. I know that you are probably only showing the best but even then, it is a lot of super friendly and funny comments/videos etc... they has to be a lot of truth to it. Greetings to all the Australians today !

As the others have said we are generally a polite bunch! There are a few knob heads that are either just idiots or just turn into idiots when drinking but otherwise we are just a naturally chill nationality... On the IWRocker channel look up his "reaction to Australian dash cam owners" video (or even their videos themselves) Aussies are a nice bunch EXCEPT when in cars .. some reason the level of "crazy" increases once we get behind the wheel?!?; dunno why haha. But Ian's channel is a fairly good and accurate assessment of all things Australia.. p.s. greetings from the sunshine coast, an hour north of Brisbane QLD's Capitol City. And yes Brisbane has "sunshine coast" 1Hr north and "gold coast" 1hr south haha sending a theme here? Lol

That bird is a white cockatoo, a Kookaburra is a member of the kingfisher family and is slightly larger than the standard ones. Grill'd is good, but they are expensive too, around ~$15 AUD for a cheaper burger, but the burger quality is pretty high and good fresh ingredients. Those crosswalk beeps aren't just inn Melbourne, they are Australia-wide. Yes, FNQ is Far North Queensland. And that bird is a Lyrebird, the one that makes all those amazing sounds like a camera shutter, a chainsaw, a baby crying, and every bird call from around the area. I'm pretty sure you've done a video on it before. If you haven't, it's well worth a video on it's own, absolutely incredible what sounds they can make.

I watch a lot of reactionary KZfaq. None of the ones that I have seen go to the levels you do to understand us. This was evident yet again in this video when you assumed that FNQ stands for Far North Queensland - spot on. Others would have just made a joke of it. To me it shows the depth of the learning you have attained about us - Thank you.

"Redhead" matches used to have a monopoly when we were growing up. They were an iconic Australian brand. When the company was taken over by overseas interests, Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith decided to challenge that monopoly in 1999 by introducing his own brand, "Dickhead" matches. They sold pretty well. The blurb on the back of the box began: "We would have to be complete dickheads to let most of our famous Australian brands be taken over by foreign companies".

Let me just start by saying that not only is the Butter/Vegemite ratio HUGELY important in finding what works for you but also for me, what matters is how melted the butter is.. 🤷 personally, for me, I LOVE like a 7 grain bread, toasted to the point of being burnt, left to the point of being cold but still crisp and NOT floppy, then a generous amount of COLD butter spread on followed by what I deem the right amount of Vegemite (it really is difficult to describe the 'right amount') and OMG delicious, maybe even a slice of cheese on that.. 🤤🤤 I can absolutely see a poppyseed or sesame seed bagel eaten the same way!! 😁

Ian, with the gumtrees on the thermal camera, gum trees can absorb a lot of heat, especially in the summer (they have to to survive a hot Australian summer) and when it gets critical they have been known to spontaneously burst into flames, although rarely witnessed. It's also a reason Australian Bushfires are so hot, it's the oil in the eucalyptus that boils and explodes causing extreme trauma to everything around it. And yet, gum trees use fire to regenerate, as many gum trees have seed pods that can only be opened by fire. Yeah, it's a weird country I live in, but I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Yep, the ease and convenience of the places like Macca's, HJ's, R.Rooster, KFC really took off in the late 90's and 2000's but we've all become a bit more health conscious and it's starting to outweigh the convenience. Like KFC sometimes like maybe once a fortnight to a month, if like just getting home from a long trip, or maybe HJ's to change it up but it's like maybe 20 times a year for my family... The local burger joint, bakery, pie shop and Chinese places get us a lot more often, but in saying that it's still only like once MAYBE twice a week. And a lot of the bigger fast food places are struggling (had a mate who was a manager at one for a decade) and it's really starting to go down for them! So all I can say to local owners is hold on as long as you can, serve with customer service not a 15yr old who is annoyed you are taking him away from his phone and social media.. these things make such a huge difference!

In Luxembourg, you sometimes have sound for seing impaired crossing the street but it is not always the case (rather not the case), but you do have bumps and other things that marks the spot. The law is clear about the fact that pedestrians have the priority over cars on the street... you can cross the street wherever you want (even on a highway I think, but don't do that hehe) and if there is an accident the car driver will always be at fault (he has to be aware of pedestrians crossing the streets randomly at ever given time or place on the road). I am Danish so I go the country a lot and there you have a lot more sounds etc for seing impaired people even in small towns etc. But thumbs up for Australia doing this.

I’m not surprised that Grill’d has Japanese food and drinks since we have so much cattle trade with them. A quick google search just showed multiple sources saying that our wagyu is a cross between Japanese wagyu and Aussie cattle. I’d say this cross breeding is to make the cattle better acclimated to our country. Most of our cattle are crosses from bos indicus (hot weather cattle like Brahmans) and bos taurus (cold weather cattle like Hereford) because they cold weather ones don’t do well here except in the most southern regions of Australia. Angus cattle thrive here even though they are bos taurus, could be some cross breeding going on there too.

Gumtrees are full of oil. They stay hot after sun goes down. Sometimes known to spontaneously burst into fire. Yep. The trees are hot

I love Australia, don´t get me wrong but I love the paper drones that make the Orcs life a hell. It´s a genius design 👍❤ But when it comes to Submarines, omg, how lost Australian Politicians are.

Yes, this current government needs to get relost soon! $348 billion for some random second hand submarines we may never see! 🤯 Our Bushmasters are truly epic though! 🇺🇦💙💛🇦🇺🙋

How is it that the U.S. is the 2nd biggest importer of Australian lamb yet most U.S. reactors that I've seen talking about food seem to say they never eat and rarely see it (China imports over 14 million Kilos and the U.S. takes over 11 million .) Where does it all go then?

News headline last week - "Woman bitten by 2nd deadliest snake, while asleep in her bed". Yep, it is really as bad as the memes say.

Tell Chuck e Cheese to do their research. Don't make a Starbucks mistake and try and force the US menu on us without at least having some local options..

Grill'd are much better than Macca's or Hungry Jacks, at least their burgers look like burgers and not just something squashed within an inch of it's life down to a pancake which does not resemble anything like a burger. A chain where you can sit down and eat inside or alfresco. Also you can contribute to the chain donating to a charity by placing your drink cap in a container of your choice representing a charity. Hat Head headland looks like a hat, hence the name! Population growth: 27mill: we reached 27mill 15 years earlier than projected. Colesworth: was at Woolies yesterday, went to self serve, stood in a long slow line, reason, all of us with fruit or vegies, which needed weighing, had to wait, the occasional person with other items and no fruit or vegies, was allowed to get in front of us and were sent to the service desk to be processed. Hey Woolies, have you ever thought that it may be easier and quicker for there to be a dedicated checkout with a real person for we people with fruit and vegies to go to and then all the other people could move through the self check outs quickly! Der!!! You may end up with happier customers and customers who just feel really pissed off and not valued!

Would have been either during the day, or just after sunset using the thermal camera, the tree will hold heat for a few hours.. later in the night the koala will show higher heat. OR the camera is a cheap one that picks up light more than heat and makes it look like a thermal image where it's more like an I.R. camera..
