We replaced a few parts on the offset disk, got rained out. The following day we were able to get back on it and did some disking with both Terra Disks.

The two big Deeres with their ears back ! I am still amazed that the soils can withstand that amount of cultivation ( presumably most years of the rotation ) couldnt do that here ~

Yes Sir, rolling before AND after is the way to go for more even seed depth and emergence, could even save a seedershank or two as a bonus in case of being blessed with rocks 😉 👍

Many of the farms in my area were homesteaded on 160 acre (1/4 section) plots in the 1890s. Most were 1 mile by 1/4 mile although some were 1/2 mile square. 10 acre fields were the common size up until the 1960s. Rocks picked out of the fields would be dumped in a corner or along the fence lines between fields. As farms got bigger and farmers bought other farms, animals aren't grazed anymore so there is no need for fences. The rock piles became an inconvenience.

Hopefully Charlie is done with her sport seasons soon. We need some camera time with Charlie and one of her Sisters: since she’s funny and she’ll get her sister to talk and laugh. Looks great Andy, Sarah is keeping you on your toes😂

You need a shaker deck that will pick up the topsoil and separate the rock out of it and load the rocks into a moving container for offloading. I am sure you Andy could come up with something.

It is amazing how much ground that big iron can cover. I spent many hours back in the early 80's on an open station tractor pulling a 12' disk.

Hi Andy hope you're all well I have a suggestion for you regarding to health and safety this is something very close to my heart littaraly I was a postman (mail man in the usa) I was a very fit and healthy man until I hit 36 when I had a full on heart attack (had several since as well) if not for a passing paramedic doing cpr on me I would not be here that was 20 years ago but now there are emergency defibrillator machine that do everything to keep you alive till medics can get to you I all homes and business should have multiple machines same as fire extinguishers they are definitely a must have pice of kit as no matter what age or level of fitness you are you can have one they are more valuable than a big bud tractor made of gold coated in diamonds stay safe bud and Boomshanka 😊

Andy why don't you get a big tarpaulin and if it rains again when you are out with the seed drill you can put it over it to stop the rain getting into the seedbins.

I thought you aren’t supposed to turn with the discs in the ground because it’s bad for the bearings. True or not?
