Scotch brite pad red or gray depending on what finish you want. Fold it in half x it out to find center. Punch hole in center with screwdriver. Put on angle grinder... Preferably one with speed control set it to low. Lol polishes things nice and fits in pretty much every corner when a fresh pad. I use to weld stainles in food and beverage plants.

I think you can use cut out jeans or leather for that, maybe layer it with the cardboard and glue it together to get the shape and stiffness but have the leather or jeans larger than the cupboard. That is an interesting make shift though. I would've just thought of a bigger radius to reach inner angle, this is not only smaller which means retains its stiffness easier it's also much easier to cut because it's square.

If you use tig welding there is no need for this. Just use acid gel and a soft cloth polishing disc after. Much safer and less time consuming.
