This is a look at the Razer Orochi V2, unscripted, just wanted to give a generral idea of whether or not it's good in game and my reasoning.
Razer really stepped up their mouse game a few years ago, so all of these are quite good, it's just a matter of you like the shape and weight.
Didn't run into any problems with it, solid performance.
It was sent out for testing, so thanks to Razer for that, but all thoughts are my own, I was not told to say anything, of course.

Hope this kind of video is good enough for the website and gives some useful info. I'll get better with live talking the more I do this and should make them even faster and a lot more condensed. Filming and editing only took about 2 hours, so plus testing, this is a lot better for me while I design new mice and rewrite my novels. Still messing around with mic settings. If I can't get it sounding right, I might switch setups and use my usual microphone instead. Let me know any feedback, will try to improve where I can, but time is very limited for me now, so this is all I can really manage. If this is no good, I'll just show shape in videos for the website and maybe say a few words, but otherwise, they will be super short videos. Thanks! Edit: I think KZfaq is judging the video like that's a bad thing in 2021, I thought we were past this ... look at the URL, how do I report them? 😂

I use orochi V2 since the release and I'm quite happy with it. I have large hands, so I thought it might now work for me, but for a fingertip it works perfectly. And it's a huge update after a Rival 650. BTW, my brother has G305 and it doesn't feel as comfortable as Orochi when I play. 305 is egg all the way, wich for me makes it harder to grip.

Zy is pretty right. The left side has a little too much groove, when you use the groove with natural grip it turns the mouse a bit. The right side needs to taper in a bit because you have little grip to lift it up. The middle hump is slightly high, as you pull the mouse down with your fingers, the top rubs against your palm causing friction. Also when you pull the mouse down, the fingers will slightly lift the back up by mm and fall back down. I had to put the AAA battery on the back to counter act that. It's a good mouse but it needs slight adjustments to make it really good. Too many people preach this forward sensor, but nah it's not good. Majority of mouse sensors are in the middle, this causes weird aim that you have to adjust. IMO a mouse should work well out of the box without the need to adjust and should feel natural, that's why the g305 and GPX is S tier mouses.

I was checking out your website about 20 minutes earlier, and I thought I was going crazy because I saw an updated review for the orochi lol. Did you post the review before the video? Either way, I was really sad when I heard your full reviews ended, but honestly I could get used to this. I noticed that as of recent your reviews were getting shorter because mice don’t need to be analyzed as much. Since most mice are shape dependent now, like you said before. These reviews seem comfy, more casual, while still getting your point across about how you feel. I think I over exaggerated your announcement in my head, and most other people probably have too. Definitely agree about the top of the mouse being too tall for proper fingertip grip. As for the width, I just didn't like the overly aggressive curvature on the right side of the mouse. With large hands I wanna put my pinky finger at the rear end of the mouse to stabilise my fingertip grip, but it ends up being much narrower than I want. I'm almost forced into a pseudo palm grip if I don't want finger cramps.

My hand is 16cm x 8cm and the Orichi is a perfect palm/claw grip for me. My ring finger is deformed due to surgery, so it rests on the right button along with the middle finger. The small outward curve on the right allows my little finger to wrap slightly around the mouse. The concave curve on the left is perfect for my thumb placement. I also find the coating fine for my dry hands, unlike most newer mice that lack grips. I was fully expecting the need to add gloss tape when I bought it, but it feels great out of the box. The mouse is a direct replacement for my beloved ancient G400s which is huge by comparison,, but both are equally comfortable to me. I bought a G603, thinking it was close to the G400s shape but it was wrong in every way for me - too big, hump in the wrong place , incredibly slippery and impossible to grip. My hand ached after ten minutes of use. The Orochi addresses all these problems to near perfection. I think I have found the best wireless mouse for my small square hands.

Also, the front doesn't bump out, as you mentioned, but instead has a very slight flat point near the front. Sure, you could pull this in, but then it is just like the rounded nature of the g305. @@dorintony Spoiler alert, like 75% of pros use Zowie mice with either 3360 sensors, or even the older ones with 3310. The reason you're not a pro isn't because of your mouse sensor my friend 😂 seems I must have hit a nerve there. Stay triggered and have a good day 👍.

I previous had an G305 and recently bought the Orochi V2. With those two, I prefer the Orochi V2 than G305. Much lighter and better aiming. I am a lefty.

This one was a bit of a surprise to me tbh. Mostly because its one my best performers, and also because the orochi seems p close to ideal for fingertip user, small mice preferers; even claw or small handed people. Razer took a bit of a risk with this one, regarding unique shapes, same as xtrfy with zy's rail, so respect to these companies for trying something new/unique. I'm all for that.

I think this format is fine, we got all the necessary information, however I missed the grip chart. Also it felt as if you were still thinking when sharing your thoughts, like you didn't practice enough the script. Of course if you don't want to spend too much time on a video, it's fine. I just wanted to tell that I noticed the difference. I'm looking forward to see your new projects.

My hand is wider than average. I got this mouse a few days before my Finalmouse Starlight 12. I liked it so much that I ended up selling that mouse and stopped using my G Pro Wireless and G305. My flicks were substantially more accurate with the Orochi V2, and despite usually taking a while to warm up to mice, my accuracy was immediately increased in end game stats. Reviews aren't everything. Sometimes you really just need to try mice out to see what you like.

Might get this as my back up/try out next to my Viper Mini. Guys, mouse size does matter, just like D size. If you have smaller hands get an even smaller mouse! Ever since I use a smaller mouse, I went from Plat 1 to Immo 2 in one act on Valorant. Wish I switched to a smaller mouse 10 years ago KEKW. The aim difference was insane for me! Also alot less pain in hand.

Thanks for explaining it, I also found that I was aiming better with the 305 in everything but speed and I wasnt quite sure why. Sucks cause I was really looking forward to replacing my 305. I even bought a 302 recently just to try out the shape to see if I’d like it and maybe get the wireless 303 if they ever decide to announce that. I found I could aim better with the 302 than orochi.

I dont quite understand what you mean by "shape theory 101" this mouse is very specific to a standard fingertip grip, the high sensor feels great with it, as does the flair, so the shape is very dependant on your grip and not a mathematical formula and rule that all mice should follow to be classed as "good".

Each to their own, I'm sure we'll find people who agree with both of us, but yeah I struggled getting my aim right with it compared to the G305 and I think the 2:1 thing is why. Maybe the height a bit too, as said. I'm happy to make the videos even shorter and just quickly show the shape, no extra thoughts, if that's what people want. These are just so the website stays updated. Just testing what I can do with limited time. I'll put up a poll at some point, see what people want. This or just a video quickly showing the shape in high detail (4K camera) with some size comparisons.

I’ve been using this mouse for ard 2-3 months. The AA battery is heavier but gives excellent battery life. Where as if I switched to the smaller AAA battery its much lighter and feels way better. However the battery only lasts less than a week. And when the battery life gets low its annoying as the mouse cursor suddenly stops moving when its idle, and you will have to switch off/on the mouse just to get the cursor moving.

i actually prefer more of a 1:1 ratio, just like RJN showed it is easy and effective to move mouse down with fingertips ("range of motion") without moving wrist/whole arm. It should give more control, but as also mentioned mouse is pretty tall and it might be too tall for it's potential. Short videos are as nice as full reviews, been waiting on RJN's video for this mouse and it covered it all 👍

Hey Zy, are you alright? Your voice seems a little raspy in this video. I remember you talking about mold issues at your house. Hope you’re taking care! I got the Razer Orochi V2 for my dad coming from a g502. He uses a palm grip and has stubby fingers. He said he was getting wrist issues so he was going to buy a mouse bungee. With this mouse being wireless and light, I think it’ll be great for him. My medium starlight is coming this week. Super excited

I still think sensor position isn't that big a deal. I've done some tests in the past, even a prototype mouse that allowed me to change the position of the sensor ... it's just something our brains adapt to and that's it (I think anyway). But I'll keep it in mind in case it does have an effect some day (that I can notice).

I've been trying this and the MZ1 and I can't tell which one is right for me. I like the range of motion of the Orochi but I also like the firmness I get from the MZ1 which gives me better control for micro movements. I don't even aim worse with either which makes choosing harder, and this is coming from someone with similar hand size. By the way, I put my ring and pinky finger higher up on the Orochi, about where it starts to curve in. I find that helps.
