The only why that the monster couldn't have get in was if Mikey have removed the basement, even they investigated that he robbed the place: 1st: The theif have found out a passage in his home, and went in. 2: Mikey should have removed the stairs, So they went to his home. 3rd: They found out that Mikey's treasures, flowers, and items, back to his house. 4th (Last): They found out that the theif's house was in leaves, and the theif's house is a near distance to their house.
