It had to be to instill the message and body posture that the song requires. I saw another video when they were singing live and it appears that this is a later live concert. His voice sounds a little tired though.

It could even be argued that the wavering of his voice adds to the emotive subject and rawness of the lyrics.

Voice Teacher here. People are picking this performance apart but, honestly, it's a combination of several factors... 1. "Live" is never as good as produced sound where everything can be controlled. 2. Everyone has vocal frailty at times, especially if they've been singing too much, too harshly/too loudly (forced), or if they are dealing with a lot of emotion at the time (this happened to me when singing at my sweet son-in-law's funeral in January...😔). 3. EVERYONE has a break from their chest voice into their head voice; singers train for years & years in order to manipulate that bridge successfully. 4. This may have been performed at a higher key than the original, idk for sure. But it could be a reason he was a little wobbly. In the end, singing is organic - moving, growing & ever-changing. That's exactly the charm of it. This is such a great song tho! I love it!!! 💕💕

@@zakbrown7859 I'm not complaining or concerned about taking "flak". I guess someone can't express feelings or feel vulnerable about a deep lose without a heartless fool like you dumping on people. So long forever.
