Being a Queen fan from their very beginning. I tried to be supportive with them taking Adam. Saw the first two tours. But the last tour and this one... Need to turn Adam's flaming down a notch or three. I mean ok...we get it. Freddie was camp but Adam is just shoving in people's faces. I think even Freddie would be like "tone it down a bit darling, before we have to grab a fire extinguisher!"

@@deachenchorol3588 “Comes and goes”? Well, Adam Lambert came and has remained for 12 years. Haven’t you noticed? People accepted him a very long time ago. Actually, he was accepted instantly and immediately. People fell in love with him and his voice and how he never attempted in any way, an imitation of Freddie. He sang his own way using his own voice and fans loved it. He was individual. He brought his own artistic integrity and people admired him for that. Don’t you think he realized he was going to be criticized and diminished by some? But he fearlessly took on this job and, according to their insanely popular and successful comeback, he made it work, didn’t he? You can’t ever deny that.

Sorry, but that is just your opinion. Queen and Adam have been selling out venues all over the world for over a decade. Some fans who saw Freddie live and now Adam, tweeted their support for Adam. @adamlambert @QueenWillRock were absolutely brilliant @TheO2 tonight. Adam’s vocals on Who want to live forever were superb. I have seen Queen with Freddie twice but this was a brilliant celebration of the best rock band ever’s music. As a huge Queen fan, huge Freddie Mercury fan and huge @adamlambert fan- Netflix doc, ‘The Show must Go On’ is a TREAT!! I don’t think theres a better singer than Adam Lambert around today.--Mia Farrow Seen both Queen with Freddie and Queen and You. Don’t let the haters pull you down. You are a front man and you do the songs proud and with your own style. Keep smashing it. (Following opening of millennium celebration) Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) Queen "For me the absolute highlight of last Saturdays show at the 3Arena in Dublin was Queen and Adam Lambert playing that song. (WWTLF) Unbelievable. The lights, the lasers, the sound, the performances of everybody on stage was absolutely top notch. If you haven't got a ticket yet, go see these guys. Legends of course we all know that. Adam Lambert will be the first to stand up and say he's no Fred, but my goodness one of the best live vocals I've ever heard. And Rick Savage who was sat next to me said exactly the same thing. Was Adam Lambert last week in Dublin." I saw #Queen with #FreddieMercury at The Spectrum in Philadelphia back in the summer of 1980...a show and memory I will never forget! Have to say tho, I was even more blown away with the #QAL #RhapsodyTour Show! Freddie would be proud of #AdamLambert , #BrianMay & #RogerTaylor!💗 I saw Freddie's Queen and I've seen Queen with @adamlambert . BOTH men are extraordinary, phenomenal, other-worldly vocalists and performers...in completely different ways. Those that hate on Adam because he isn't Freddie have clearly never seen him do what he does. I was lucky enough to see Freddie sing, was unsure as to what to expect, in short was blown away, fantastic gig & am sure Freddie would be proud to have you continue the Queen legacy, have fun tonight My first concert was Queen at Slane Castle in ‘86. Saw Queen with Adam Lambert last year. You are in for a treat, enjoy! Saw Queen with Freddie 1975 Christmas Eve, tonight with Adam Lambert. Both incredible shows fronted by incredible showmen. Messrs May and Taylor constants of course. @DrBrianMay @OfficialRMT @QueenWillRock @adamlambert wow!! That gig will live in my memory forever, I was at Knebworth in 1986, miss Freddie’s voice so much, so happy you guys found each other! Thank you! #matchmadeinheaven I was fortunate enough to see Queen with Freddie twice. I have never seen anyone play to an audience like him. He was never afraid to take chances. I got lucky, and saw Queen with Adam live recently, and my jaw dropped. What a killer show they put on. Go see it! I've been going to see Queen live since 1978 but @DrBrianMay, @adamlambert and @OfficialRMT last night in Glasgow was phenomenal. Thank you!!!!! Hey mate, the bloody game was called off! Anyway we moseyed on up the toon, I’m just in actually after a 12.30 start, great day out. Queen were terrific mate,m I’ve been lucky enough to see Freddie Mercury in the 8O’s and Adam Lambert to his credit was a great front man 30 years since I have seen Queen and this was just brilliant! @adamlambert Freddie would be so proud Having not seen Queen without Freddie until now - I’m so pleased that I saw them @TheO2 with Adam Lambert last evening. It was one of the most incredible shows I’ve seen. Adam Lambert doesn’t attempt to replace Freddie but pays great tribute to his memory - an honour You know you loty Queenies....we make people rich. Told my relatives not to expect any monies upon my death because I am throwing it all at Adam and Queen. Saw Freddie 5 times have to say this time around is twice the fun. Fellow Canadians at the bar who had seen Queen with Freddie have to admit Adam's range far surpasses Freddie's. Guy beside me had seen Freddie 3 times, Paul Rodgers 2 times. LOVED @adamlambert Lots of OMGs, phenomenal & wows. Told you, I said. I last saw Queen in 1986 at Wembley London, Freddy was awesome back then. I was happily surprised by Adam Lambert... boygeorgeofficial Went to see @adamlambert performing with #Queen in Sydney and it was fabulous. Adam’s voice is astounding and he does not need to apologize for not being Freddy Mercury. Adam brings his own flavor to those timeless songs and he is a wonderful artist in his own right. Loved the glittering 70s platforms. Brian singing ‘love of my life’ was beautiful. No need to apologize Brian you bring beauty and vulnerability to my fave Queen song! Roger on ‘It’s A Kind Of Magic’ was also full of feeling. Very Bowie-esque and I loved the drum solos and Brian’s axe lamenting. It was a night with everything. GO you will live for it! @adamlambert I saw queen 5 times 77-86. Saw u with the guys in 2014 and again on Wednesday in Sydney. U enhance their brilliance and it is just as enjoyable watching them now as it was with Freddie.credit to you. Haha my dad a massive Queen fan. My parents saw Freddie live. Yes Freddie not Freddy. Now considers @adamlambert as “Freddie’s heir apparent”. Was stunned by his performance. This is Adams legacy

Adam Lambert =I'm really not feeling him at all, don't know what Brian and Roger see in this guy. Is this really the best guy they could find?? he's not really connecting with the crowd or the band, his voice is just wrong for the material he's not in the heart of the sound. He's not owning the lyrics and the meaning behind them, just kinda preening , NO SOUL. They should have got someone from the streets not American Idol karaoke singer. People think he's a good replacement because what, he's gay? Queen didn't hire Freddie because he was gay they hired him because he was an awesome singer
@carolhagerty428810 ай бұрын
What Brian and Roger saw in him was the fact that they said they heard countless numbers of voices and Adam Lambert was the best they could ever hope to find. He was the strongest, the most mind blowingly powerful, vocalist with an incredible range. And the Only one capable of singing the entire Queen catalogue of songs in their original key, easily and flawlessly. And the simple fact that he was immediately accepted and loved by audiences everywhere absolutely disproves your claim that he doesn’t “connect” with fans. Adam always engages people to participate and sing along to the music and wants them to enjoy themselves. And the fact that Adam Lambert lit this band up again also proves you wrong. He made Queen’s return to a new life possible. And he certainly knows how to Own the lyrics. He’s a masterful vocalist who intrinsically knows how to deliver the lyrical meaning of a song and he does it better than Freddie did. I don’t care if you attack me, but he puts more feeling in Queen songs than Freddie ever did. I’ve seen enough videos of Freddie that convince me of that. And vocally, Adam far exceeds what Freddie was capable of, Especially in Live singing ability. Freddie was not always the best at live singing.
@carolhagerty428810 ай бұрын
Listen to Adam singing Who Wants To Live Forever at the.Isle of Wight Festival in 2016 or The Show Must Go On at the O2 in London in 2018 and then tell me he doesn’t connect with the deep meaning of the lyrics or with the audience. Listen to his more recent performance of Is This The World We Created in Baltimore. Then tell me again that he doesn’t connect with the lyrical meaning. Then link me to one “emotional, soulful” performance of Freddie’s where he does.

@@carolhagerty4288 Are you his mother? Seriously. He's a very good singer, obviously, but I don't care for his fit with this band personally, that's not me trying to rip him or ruin him, it's just my review of his performance. You act like people aren't allowed to not like what you like.

Adam, as a Live singer, exceeds what Freddie was capable of. Freddie wasn’t always the best at live singing ability. Adam has a mind blowingly powerful voice. I have seen him live and he’s absolutely unreal. And I suggest you go and watch some old videos of Freddie in case you’ve forgotten some of those “colorful” costumes he used to wear, and then try to imagine what he might be like on stage now in these times of more freedom.
