I am 52. Star Wars changed my life at 6. I have 4 kids (2 of each, 13 - 25). They neither hate nor love Star Wars. In fact, they never even think about it. I was repeatedly told it’s not for me. Now I never think about it. Star Wars is the new CW superhero shows. There will always be AN audience, but it will never be what it was. And frankly, I don’t care anymore.

I was 7 when the first Star Wars film came out. As a kid it was definitely the biggest thing in the world. As I grew older I still enjoyed it but in a different way. Disney killed my interest completely. It doesn't even look anything I can identify as SW. It looks like a PC version of some of the really bad Star Wars knockoffs made back in the 80's. But at least those were still entertaining to me. This would be a horrible chore to sit through I imagine.

The whole point of the Jedi Order going back to the OT was that those who were strong in the force needed training and structure from a young age - lest that enormous power corrupt them, leading to suffering and death throughout the galaxy. Now Kennedy and Headland have chucked that out the window, which puts the entire franchise up for grabs. Literally whoever’s stronger is ‘right’. No surprise there from Weinstein’s enabler/assistant.

This is why weekly releases DON'T WORK with this BS form of 'storytelling'... There must have been some other conflict between the Jedi/Witches that we haven't been told about yet. As Jeff said, it didn't look like the witches were killed by the fire, so it's a mystery to keep the audience engaged. Trouble is, this episode ended the same way as the last one, being shown that Both sisters are still alive.

@@abramsalinas1004 I don't know about selfish, but they definitely are on the formulaic side -- mean mother-in-law trope, overbearing father trope, Rich heir to the empire falling for some poor girl who works for him trope, same as before but with a childhood forgotten connection trope, Amnesia trope, supernatural trope. They can sometimes be predictable, but they seldom - if ever - are woke. As for other east Asian dramas - well, I've seen at least 7 variations of Itazura na Kiss (3 j, 2 T. 1 K), A couple other live action remakes of popular Japanese anime (some good, some ok, and some just meh). Anymore though, as I approach retirement age, my attention span just doesn't seem to be enough to see a series through...

Here is my prediction for the rest of The Acolyte series and it's been in front of us all along.... Since this started, Headland said she wanted to make a "Frozen" meets "Kill Bill".... Yes, the Jedi killed all of witchbians, and Jedi Master Sol did a "memory wipe/distortion" on Osha thinking her sister started the fire, when it was the Jedi who started it to take the girls away by force. But the "wipe" does not hold and Osha remembers that Mae is alive and tracts her down (ala Frozen kinda...). The sisters concoct a plan to get revenge on the Jedi for killing off the witchbians, and Osha teaches Mae how to control "the thread" and both of them are killing the Jedi in turns (ala Kill Bill). And the villain in the black outfit... Was Osha all along. Dun dun duuuunnnnnn....

this ep left me scratching my head, 1. how did the burning of 1 book do all that damage to a stone and metal cave system. 2. how did 2 children born and raised in a isolated cult, know how to hot wire a door, know what a light saber was when seeing one for the first time, know how to blow up a generator. By not knowing of anything but the coven why would you chose not to be a witch when you know not of any other options? 3. we are told at the start the the force is a thread connected to your destiny, and if you pull that thread you can change it, then later told you cant change your destiny?? by the same person. I just cant go on with this show much like with Indian jones franchise only exists in the first 3 movies, same no applies to starwars in the first 6 movies. everything else is just a matrix simulation to me

My favorite comment so far is this… Since the thread or whatever had to go into the mother that means that this episode proves that the force is MALE, lol!!! So despite all their efforts they just proved to themselves it requires a MALE to reproduce.
