Chalk up another "winner" for the incomparable Ms. Julia Westlin! Beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful delivery, beautiful scenery, beautiful camera work, beautiful lady. Your seemingly effortless performance (although I know it was anything but because of the EDS) calms the restless spirit, slows the racing mind and soothes the tired old body. It creates a sense of peace and acceptance and seems to communicate clearly - but on an intuitive level - that "it is what it is". Having only recently "discovered" you and your music (on my 67th birthday, no less!) and being new to your Patreon family, I am saddened to learn of your EDS. My deepest wish is that you are able to keep doing what you love to do for a very, very long time. Having myself been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 years and developing degenerative disc disease with severe scoliosis and kyphosis 10 or 12 years ago, I can empathize and relate to at least some of your symptoms and the ever-present chronic pain. But I want you to know that, although there were struggles and setbacks, I was able to have a wonderful career doing what I love doing most. It has been a full and rich life and I wish the same for you. I believe that you will achieve it, too, as along with your incredible talent, you seem to possess great inner strength and beauty - and I know you were made to persevere. As you so often do to others, I send you love and huge hugs! Ken

Oh Kenneth, Thank you so much for your incredibly heartwarming message and for sharing of your story with me! 💖 You are so very sweet and kind, and I love the fact that you chose to sign up on your own birthday...!! I am so glad that you did :) You and me seems to have a lot in common, I can very much relate to your pain. My EDS is genetic so I was born with it. Like you, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease a while back and have scoliosis in my lumbar, seems to have spread to my neck now (All related to my EDS). My doctor told me that it will sadly only get worse and that discussions about surgery will eventually come, not always the happiest of news. Being my own independent worker allows me to take breaks when I really need to lay down, it helps so much and is priceless. To have the freedom of choosing your hours depending on health status, but I'm a strict boss so I keep a high tempo no matter what, but I think that's a good thing to always push ourselves a little more. I mirror your words right back at you my Angel, A lot of inner strength and willpower in you too!!! Thank you once again for your amazing message, it really hugs me. Lots of love Kenneth! 🤗💖

@@JuliaWestlin Hey! I have been following David, then you, for years. I love the way your story has evolved and continues. I am writing now in response to the parts of your life regarding your spine. I had to stop performing hardcore 10 years ago because of collapsed discs, degenerative spine, and an injury. But this loss of performing is what ushered in my life with my own studio. Along with performing full time, I did quite a bit of session work for multiple studios, but I never dipped into the pool of my own recordings. So in a way, my discovery ( and resulting chronic pain, surgeries, more pain...) of my issues brought things into my life that i would have missed! I call it my "obscene blessing". I love and share the positive and loving energy you and David promote. Maybe one day we can do some projects together! I am a multi-instrumentalist, but sometimes it is nice to get the energy and "vibe" of other artists. You and/or David should get back to me if you would ever like to collaborate. Peace! And thanks again for everything you all bring to the world, it makes this planet a better place!

this song should come with a warning- don't drive and listen. Did you ever sit in such a calm place with the warm sun soft breeze telling you this is the place to be. This song takes me to a place like that. Her voice was touched by the angels. it make you forget all the problems in the world for the time it is playing. we the people are blessed to have heard her voice.

I am so sorry to learn of your pain playing your Taylor because I love to listen to your fingers on the strings. I will understand if this pleasure is infrequent.😥 Your well being and comfort are of utmost importance to me🤗💖 One might suspect that the piano, being a surprise gift from me, would be my favorite instrument, but your talent with a guitar is so extraordinary! A dream I have is that your music will someday be the score for the story of your life!🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖 A movie cannot properly depict your story! It must be a series or at least a mini- series. I know I will shed many tears when/if🙏🙏 I have this experience! There has been so many tears through the years I have had the pleasure of knowing you. And it has, as said previously, been a pleasure. It makes me so happy and truly warms me to hear that you enjoy my guitar playing Alan! 💖 My goal is to be able to play more although EDS who mess with my bones, my locker is stocked up with athletic tape and bandages! :) That would be completely amazing to have my/our own movie, it might start with a book. Let's see what the future holds! I am so grateful for the piano you gifted me, I will never forget that moment when i passed through the door after coming back from a physio appointment. My jaw literally dropped in the floor, it was such a shock I could not believe it. Forever grateful for that amazing gift and for your amazing support my dear Angel!! It truly means the world for me to hear that! 💖 When things feels tough, the trick is not to think too far ahead and to take one day at the time, or even one moment at the time. We never know what the future holds and it is easy to get drown with fears when the sun is behind the clouds. But then we need to remind ourselves to Live Now, not in the future nor in our fears. Fabulous. Tad less echo and a little more voice tremelo. Outstanding I am inside a cloud with this. What movie. This voice is SO expressive it depends upon the script. Reflective, a pause, amelody; much feeling...nature but also....all the rest! It is the pause, the floating of these notes across mountains, water and sky. A tremdous lovely thing. Such a perfect moody voice. A gift it is.
