This is a song that is a little outside of what I usually do. I had to choose a song for my High School Music exam. We were given a list of songs to choose from and this is the one I chose. I didn't really think i'd like it but once I got into it I really started to love it so much.
Jekyll & Hyde is a 1990 musical loosely based on the 1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Linda Eder (/ˈɛdər/; born February 3, 1961[1]) is an American singer and actress. She made her Broadway debut in the musical Jekyll & Hyde, originating the role of Lucy Harris, for which she was nominated for the Drama Desk Award. Eder has performed in concert halls across the country including Carnegie Hall and Radio City Musical Hall. She has released her 18th solo album in 2018.

When I saw the title of this video I thought it was going to be a cover of Adele's song... I was so delighted when I heard the first line because it is such a beautiful song from a musical that never should have been forgotten. There's something that's happened to me as I've gotten older. I'm in my 60's and the longer I'm alive, the harder it is to justify time. It's a magic trick that I don't really enjoy but I do. I have no choice either way. My son was a bright eyed baby, seems like a year or two ago. He's in his 40s now. Seems like you were little a month ago, now you're not (saw you first on Sinas' channel). Although the woman you're becoming is a jarring revelation, I can hear the passage of time in your voice. The curve of your transitions are smooth where they were abrupt. Your increased control is obvious. The complexity of your tone is so complex I wonder if I'm hearing it all. You started so young that it will be something like magic to hear you continue through the years. Like listening to Ann Wilson today in awe because she has continually improved through the years from a point in the 70's where you couldn't imagine her getting better. Or how she could get better?! Take care, Don't let success mess you up. Learn what money is now so you don't get caught up in the damage it can do. It's just a building supply, don't worship it. Equally care for your health. Find people you can trust, and make sure you can trust them. That means take emotion out of your assessment of people. It's very hard to do and even harder to explain to someone so young. Like explaining color to someone born blind. People will tell you to follow your heart. Follow your minds logic and verified truths. It'll get you into less trouble. With all that warning, enjoy where you are right now. It's the best part of the ride and the only thing you can count on. Sorry for the lecture.
