That was a common error for VHS players, you don't need a brand new one, just look up a fix

You shouldn't keep anything on top of the VCR because the added weight could bend the mechanical parts inside.

18:03 MY VHS player that I still own had that issue. I fixed it fairly easy. There's a video from a few years back where someone explains how to fix it as its a common issue.

Yessss bro. 100% nostalgia from them mugs. Like I got goosebumps when u pulled the first one out. I remember when I was younger I spent an embarrassing amount of money of this set. Every single bit of spare change I had went to trying to complete this set. 15+ different store and probably almost 2 yrs worth of spare change and I got every single one but Patrick. If you take the top off and ejected it might just be the pin not connected but you can also hold the lid in while it's ejecting and it will come out so you don't damage the VCR tape

Here's some advice on the VCR problem just buy a VCR from a thrift store because 1. You'll have a much easier time finding one and 2. It will be a lot cheaper than paying like $100 dollars for a new one and 3. Since it's used you know everything works

Maybe find a vhs tape head cleaner there is probably some gunky build up. Take apart and you can usually tinker around and get some parts to come alive. Also store vhs tapes were the holes are up and down you can get build up on the film called sticky tape syndrome if not. The vhs head cleaner tape will be your best friend on old vcrs also magnovox in my opinion is the vcr made built to last.

Find someone local that can repair at. I know they can be repaired I know that my VHS DVD player when I was a kid it broken there was people that repair them for a small price
