I love love LOVE how kind they made Barret's eyes in this game. The sunglasses became a mask for leadership's sake, projecting badassery for morale rather than intimidation.

Cloud, and Remake Barret def helped me realize I was Bi. Like, Barret's face when he takes off his shades, he looks so sweet ☺️.

FF7R has made me appreciate FF13 in a way. It feels like 13's combat was an early attempt to modernize the ATB system alongside introducing the stagger mechanic. I even heard some of 7R's devs worked on 13. They probably learned to limit ATB-use to only special moves and have a KH-like system as the base for combat.

I genuinely can't wait for Penny to play more of this. This was also my first ever experience with FF7 when I bought it during christmas in 2022, and since then this game has been etched into my mind. I don't think I've ever played a game that got me so emotional while also hooking me onto a story to a point where I wouldn't have stopped playing if I didn't have things to do that day. Kind of bums me out that I won't be able to play FF7 Rebirth for now since I don't have a PS5, but if I had a reason to buy one then it's because of FF7. Love the playthrough so far, and I can't wait to see more!!

Going to be annoying and once again request you watch a cutscene movie of Dirge of Cerebus since they only run about 3 hours, is the last chronological thing in FF7 before Remake, and we see stuff from it IN Remake. A good place to slot it might be between finishing Remake's main game and its Yuffie DLC - or just after.
