1 - This is the door to my home office and storage. This is where I keep his carrier. This door is not to the outside world.
2 - We took him out of the house the night before and he was hanging out with other people for about 5 hours.
3 - He peed in his carrier which is stored in this room from the day before (read #2) and I did not notice
4 - He thought there was another animal in there because he smelled his pee through the door. He marked the door and really wanted into the room.
5 - The reason I spray him is because of his attitude and just like you spray a cat when it misbehaves (and it is completely acceptable) you do it to a fox and it is abuse.. I have to change his thinking and get him out of his angry mode.
6 - After I realized what was going on with the carrier, I took out the carrier and showed it to him, he saw and smelled the pee, I cleaned the carrier and put it back in the room, he has not tried to get in that room or scratch at the door ever since, that was 4 months ago.....
7 - When Loki scratches at a door, this is what he wants to do, it is not that he is unhappy, it is not that he wants out... it is that he is a FOX!!!

* Note 1 - For those who think that foxes are happy being free, well foxes in the wild do not live past 4 years old, the main cause of death in foxes is mange (horrible way to die) they go blind from it and freeze to death in the winter, so all of the experts that are complaining about my fox should do some research about what foxes go through in the wild. He does not have to worry about mange, starving, killed by a predator or humans.
** Note 2 - Loki comes from over 9 generations of captive bred fox from a fur farm, YES!! Fur farm so he would have been part of a coat before his second birthday and is is 5 years old since April of 2016. He cannot be released into the wild because he does not have the skills to survive and he will die!!!
** Note 3 - If you hate what I am doing... Thank you!! Why.... you are still watching... As Captain Jack Sparrow put it.. I might be the worst pirate you have heard of... but you HAVE heard of me!!!
If you are going say that Loki is unhappy, sad, and that this is animal abuse based on a 6:05 minutes clip of our lives and are not around for the other 23 hours and 54 minutes or have not seen any of the other 300+ videos of him then you are the one that needs help not Loki...
For everyone else that can appreciate what I am doing and know that Loki (The fox ) is very well taken care and really spoiled. Thank you very much for your support.... you don't have to reply to the negative comments, they should go away on their own, do not give in.. We know Loki is happy :) :)
