@Roger Loe ... You see the insanity that those pokemon can do, right? and "Fainting" for most wild pokemon likely results in a free meal for their predators, right? As an example, the 20,000+ pokemon that I encountered over the course of completing my Ruby dex (Dang you FEEBAS!) likely over half of them had predators. Predators that are intelligent enough to think "If I just follow this kid around, he'll exhaust a bunch of (insert Pokemon here) for me, and I won't have to do a thing aside not get caught in his rampage myself".
