SIKE!! Lavals are top tier material with card car x3. If you can't afford them (like me) Hope for escape, Dark world dealings, Jar of greed/Legacy of yata-garasu, and Monster slots are good alternatives you might want to look into.

He would've discarded the other 4 pieces with Card Destruction, so he couldn't have one anyway, unless he drew like 2 Dark Factories, which he could've negated with Quasar, so...

I thought if you Sweltering Heat Transmission Field while you have no Lavals in grave and send a Laval plus Laval Volcano Handmaiden you don't get her effect since they would be sent at the same time and therefore there wouldn't have already been a Laval with a different name in the grave when Handmaiden was sent. Or am I wrong about that?

Sorry to break it to ya but he would of drawn tge last piece and you cant do any damage since you activated one day of peace during the turn you did the crazy play. Other then that, awesome job! :)
