As we were rained out of the field, I took this time to sit down and start organizing my sheep management jobs... one being hoof trimming.
Didn't take long for us to get back on the land, which means a lot of tractor time for me, even more for Mark.
But back at home, something happened... and although we never wanted to chat about this online and draw attention to it, I thought maybe now was the time.
We truly love this online community, but ask that for people to not drop in unannounced as not only is this a working farm (lots of equipment moving about, and animals we are trying to keep healthy) but it's also our home... our safe space.
As always, thank you for being here... understanding and respecting this.

To all the 1.11 million viewers: It is NEVER, under any circumstance, okay to just show up at a KZfaqrs house, farm, ranch, field or wherever!!!! NEVER!!! That is trespassing!! Thank you for doing what you do Sandi. Much respect to you and your family. Happy Mothers Day!!!!

Great statement - totally agree!! It's like driving into a town, choosing a house to stop at, pulling into their driveway, and inviting yourself into their house!! Would you really do that? Would you want someone to do that to YOU? No?!? Then don't do it to anyone on KZfaq either!! They share their lives with us (as much as they feel comfortable with) and that should be sufficient!! Unless you're a relative, DO NOT stop by any KZfaqr's HOME!!

I watch someone on FB who breeds horses…they own a farm in Tennessee… She’s had to make multiple videos telling people her property is not open, and to not trespass because she’s had random people to come take pictures and try to pet her animals. She currently has a Micro Premie foal (he was born at 286 days gestation, and has been in the equine hospital since February). The clinic actually had to take security measures, and she had to make a video telling people not to try and enter the clinic to take pictures/videos of Seven. She actually had to explain that there were ill horses at the hospital and what these people could possibly be bringing into them… Some people are just stupid and entitled. As you said they can’t tell the difference and what is and isn’t appropriate… Scary really…

My son was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that had spread to his lymph nodes 24 years ago. He says it was his 30th birthday present. After 6 major surgeries, they all but one small spot and removed well over 52 lymph nodes. Here we are 30 years later and he still has to go for regular checkups and scans. He has a scan scheduled soon. After all these years, it is still a very mentally stressful time every time it comes up. I don't know that it's something that will ever be easier. @@animeauntyThis is not exactly related to grease the gizmo that holds the sheep for toe trimming, but am astounded Sandi how far you rolled that huge stone. Since it was on the top of the soil, & if you brought it up on a pass with the joker, I'd have moved it just enough to get around it, but most likely, called Mark & told him you unearthed a boulder he had to move. You could have put out your back & been stuck bent over till Mark got there. Also I love Jess's short curly hair. The only good thing a cancer patient gets. If she cuts her hair, she loses the curls. I know a young woman who let her hair grow pretty long, she loved the waves she got with the long hair. She got a trim & she lost her waves & curls. Just a heads up for Jess.

@@Freesportdogtraining As ‘nice’ as it might feel to push back on those creepy sideline rock-throwers, it would be of no avail. Trolls who leave obnoxious comments do so just to inflate their own pathetic egos and they ‘rage bait’ simply to get folks upset. The best course of action is to totally ignore them. Totally and completely. No replies, just radio silence. And that goes for everyone else.

"Gracious like Mark"? Have you ever looked into the eyes of a alligator 10 feet away and your are in a skiff? Cold unblinking eyes that you can't tell if he is going to eat you or fart and swim away. You aren’t a public landmark or a national monument. How rude! I know what you mean with your books. You get so engrossed with the series, when you look up and blink, it takes a minute to work out where you are. Some of my favourites are 30+ books, you read all those and you forget what reality you’re in 😂 You aren’t as old as me, do you know the old cartoon character Betty Boop? Oh, Sandi, that is so funny. I was raising 4 children on our 100 acre farm, and every once in a while I was asked to hop on a tractor and disk the field, or help plant. And if I hadn't been on the tractor for a year, (we had three tractors), it would take me a while to get acclimated, and my husband didn't understand why I couldn't just get on and do it. This Sandy at 81, enjoys your videos, and just as you felt the people in the book were like family, that is what happens when one follows videos. I am also watching Cammie, but I can't understand much. Delete the videos of people who are negative.
