Mine is 50. I like to think of life as we live to 100 and our life is in percentages. For example if we live 100 years only 17% of our life we are a child..... we're middles aged by 50 percent... getting old by 80 percent... and the 30 percentage is the best lol

The food prices are cheaper there. Probably other things also, including routine medical care out of pocket. The currency conversion rate can be disadvantageous for cross-border cash transactions (such as when I am paid by a foreign client) but if you live there and the cost of living is less, you can do better than back home. So if you are paid in Canadian dollars, you can still buy more in Kuwait than in Canada. It's the cost of living that makes the difference.

Lemme tell you all, I feel like Chantal would absolutely be the type to go along with Salah and Murad's courthouse marriage scheme because 1. she's getting married to an actual man and 2. they probably told her all the free or cheap stuff she could get while having the title of "wife". Remember, Chantal is a con artist at heart. If she can scam her way through life, she will! I really doubt she looked into the actual lifespan of a temporary misyar marriage or how an actual Muslim marriage ceremony should go.

This sounds like a very realistic scenario, knowing Chhantal and understanding that Salah himself is not a model of honesty and trust, and his friends' business is not a model of the best and most transparent business practices. Two con artists met and started their games. But let's remember that Salah has home field advantage...

The lifespan of a temporary marriage can be years long if wanted - it is easily renewed as needed. But they could not legally live together without it in Kuwait. I don't think Salal would risk getting arrested to live with Chantal. He could be put in prison or deported back to Syria and drafted into the Syrian military. He is not a Kuwaiti citizen but rather a Syrian refugee in Kuwait. I do agree that Chantal only knows as much as Salah tells her about Islam and Kuwaiti laws. She should have been studying all this time with a female tutor who could teach her about Islam and relevant Kuwaiti laws and also teach her basic Arabic.

@@jwoolman5 Before she entered into this marriage and signed the marriage contract, she should have consulted a lawyer(and not only female tutor) well versed in Kuwaiti law in general and marriage law in particular. I think there are quite a lot of them, knowing how many expats there are in Kuwait and how often Western women marry in the Middle East. This is necessary in any case if you marry a foreigner and are going to move to his country. So that there are no surprises later, which can also be unpleasant.

Of course, you're right. But Chantal is not known for consulting with professionals.... At least no children will be involved, we can be grateful for that. She should have at least consulted with the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in Kuwait. She's impulsive and has just let Salah decide how to proceed. But Salah doesn't want to stay in Kuwait or neighboring countries. He wants to get to Canada for good reason - as a Syrian refugee, he doesn't have much of a future there. She probably didn't see any harm in just doing it and counting on being in the more familiar environment of Canada within a year. Doubt that she thought through all the intricacies of that plan, either. Salah doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer either, so he isn't a great planner. Blind leading the blind.

I dont think she edited her wedding band. If you look at both pictures, you can see her fingers are in different positions in each picture. It looks like she took a few selfies on the same day, one with the ring and one without. So when she changed her description to add that she was happily married, she changed the picture to the one with the ring. Still think all the changes were because her and Salad probably had an argument about what to do for her birthday. Not sure if she is on a ban or just a visa run. But one thing is for sure, she will be back at some point, so only time will tell.

she really needs to be careful about publicly embarrassing salah. I got into foodie because of the cheating scandal so idk what he's like at all. but middle eastern and/or muslim men HIGHLY value their reputation, and there's wayyyy too many stories about western women marrying into that culture, continuing to speak their mind and acting the way that they were raised in the west, and being hurt by their husbands or worse. and considering the only thing ik about salah is his kinks it makes me worry for her. Chantal is clearly not the kind of person who is good at holding her tongue for her own benefit. edit: I feel a lot less concerned for her after watching the new episode of mr cardigan's doc on her. I still hope nothing happens to her, but one could argue if it did it would be karma for some of the things mr cardigan included that she said in this one and likely in the next one

Domestic violence is standard in the Arab world, whether you are a western woman or a local. He's probably more careful with her because she CAN leave, there's nothing to stop her as they have no kids, which are usually the stumbling block for western women who make the mistake of marrying and moving to the ME. But yes, he totally lost face with the Kaibella thing and that is HUGE in the Arab world. He was publicly exposed and shamed, That's why he never showed his face again.
