You realize that they aren't camping right? This isn't a alternative lifetime vacation with the fun of being camping. They don't toast marshmallows after a day of playing in nature. These people have no hope. Medical conditions. No resources so they have to travel long distances to be able to get things they can to survive or go without. They have no where to use the bathroom. They have no place that is truly clean, and insufficient ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We are monsters to not show these people basic compassion and someday you too could be on the streets. Or your parent. Or sibling. Or child. Do you think that you would want them to have the ability to poop somewhere better than a doorstoop?

I supported others the entire time I worked for RCL and made good money until they shipped jobs over seas and fired 1/3 of the workforce overnight.. and still am supporting others I live now in a community with several seniors and others who take care of each others basic needs including roofs overhead, food on the table and taking them in for medical care as needed. What are you doing to help your fellow man since we are justifying our personal altruism?

West coast states experienced a population boom in the postwar era of the united states and that population boom continued but housing production stagnated to cater to the demands of suburban homeowners who did not want their picturesque neighborhood to have any scary big buildings for people to live in anywhere near it. Thus the existing housing stock rose in price according to very very simple supply and demand laws and eventually the prices rose so high and so quickly due to several surges in migration due to economic booms in the area that the existing residents who were already scraping by had nowhere else to go. It exists everywhere in the US but in the west coast states you see more of it simply because of the scale of the problem. I have lived in 3 cities already and am 20 years old. Without fail I can guide anyone in any city to a homeless encampment if you give me 5 minutes to look at google maps, and 5 minutes to look at a zoning map of the city

What if that was your grandma? Maybe your sibling with mental health issues? Do you think that homeless people who have nothing need to be eradicated?

Capitalism has enabled a very large portion of the human race to thrive in ways that were once completely unimaginable. These addicts/thieves will NEVER get a job. Wake up. Most have travelled from other states to enjoy free stuff and the legal use of class A drugs. The "Safe Spaces" that tax payers pay for, are only 50-60% full. They will NOT stay there because they have to remain clean, and no fighting. We also provide FREE re-hab, which they do not attend.

@@tvdinner325 do you think its easy to get and maintain a job when your options are either a shelter where you are kicked out at 5:45 am and have to return at 9 pm or else all your shit will be thrown out and you will be too, or on the streets where youre hassled , robbed, raped, and your shit is constantly stolen or thrown away? you are so much closer to being homeless than you think. a mass layoff at a company is all it takes for a single mother whos kid just had an expensive er visit to suddenly not be able to make rent and find herself in her car or on the streets. you need to educate yourself on who homeless people really are. i have spokent o a couple who was staying under the bridge near my work and BOTH of them had full time management jobs at a local retail store but it still wasnt enough to cover their rent increases in suburban grand rapids and the fact their credit had been dinged by a medical bill meant no such luck in finding a new place, especially one with room for two kids, who were staying with friends of the family.
