Backstory: The parents left Ronnie in charge, 3 hours later Debbie and Billy didn't listen to him, when they left they later got lost then Billy became uncanny, and killed her by eating her, Ronnie knew it all, and punished Billy for it, while burying Debbie. New monster lore: Sometimes the creatures do not like the host family. Either they see through the skinsuit or behavior, and no emotional bond is formed. In these cases the creature will consume the potential host and keep trying. If blending in is successful but the rest of the host family is not at all to their liking or abusive, they will repeat the consumption. This presumably continues until the family is gone. It stands to reason that the creatures move on and seek new prey. Extra note: the creatures may show benevolence or mercy to humans who help them, choosing not to harm or eat them. The gesture should not be taken as a sign the beings will not eventually attack, however, as hunger will outweigh gratitude when there is no more food.
