I am team Hassan. Yumhaj is unbeatable. Their chemistry made tere bin biggest hit. You get to see their chemistry in every photo shoot.

2023 was Yumna & Wahaj's year. Together they created something so organic and raw that I' am still unable to watch any other show because I end up comparing it to them and the feel they gave. They raised the bar so damn high that I am not satisfied with the previous stuff and couples I watched and hyped. To not give them the top rank is insane. They had the whole internet going crazy after their chemistry.

I totally agree with Hassan’s explanation about the chemistry between Wahaj and Yumna . They were way above the rest even with the writing flaw .

And mujhe samjh nahi aaya amna kehna kya chahti hain like yumna wahaj ke ek he show hain usmai chemistry baki koi nahi hain bhai fawad mahira ka bhi ek he show tha even dekha jaye sehar hamza ka bhi ek he show hain usko app number one de raho ho wow double standards mujhe sehar humza ko number one dene se koi problem nahi but her double standards ke nahi unka DNUN main chemistry nahi tha ek show main chemistry dikhi hain humza aur sehar ne 50 shows kiye hain?? I would like to disagree with Aamna that scenes create chemistry..bcz in MPHT , Wahaj and Hania has so many hug scenes but still they were looking like siblings.. So It was Yumna and Wahaj who altogether created best chemistry.. adding on.. apart from pool and bed scenes .. there were many scenes that were showing insane chemistry just by holding hands or even just looking each other ..Aamna needs to rewatch tere bin

I don't feel, Yumhaj's onscreen chemistry can be compared with anyone except Fawad-Mahira in PTV. They have literally set the screen on fire... the gaze, the eye locks, those entwined hands and their husky voice. Hamza and Seher are fabulous, no doubt. But they still are nowhere near to Yumhaj. And if anyone says that Yumhaj didn't have any Chemistry in Dil Na Umeed To Nahi, I don't think anyone will agree. Because despite their limited screen time, they had something different everytime they looked into each other's eyes. So undoubtedly it's Yumhaj... the best couple of 2023 and one of the best couples ever seen on PTV.

@@saisha8917 it was their collective childhood struggles and life experiences in the storyline of DNUTN which brought such chemistry between them , and I think wahaj did mention that they did have a degree of comfort in that drama, which later helped them translate into a brilliant , fiery one on TB!

For me, I cannot think anyone beyond Wahaj and Yumna to be awarded best onscreen couple. No matter whatever transpired in episode 46 of drama serial #TereBin one cannot forget the fact that Tere Bin garnered the amount of popularity just because of the enigmatic chemistry between the lead couple ❤

You have yumna and Wahaj in your list and you are not putting them at nr.1 😳. This is INSANE. I mean everyone knows the script was ewww but common yumna and Wahaj were firecrackers this year. My personal opinion Many dramas r made nd every year we got couple that created chemistry on screen But till 2022 i think no body would match the level of fawad nd mahira Even in Bollywood srk nd kajol k sab misale dete h same with fawad nd mahira in ptv but the only couple who might beat or exactly at same position with fawad -mahira r Wahaj -Yumna They definitely set the benchmark aane wale time mei inki misale d jayegi❤

Yumna Zaidi can create chemistry with anyone. All actors agree that when they work with Yumna she is so good that all they need to do is react that’s why it is so natural. Look at Yumna’s body of work with Zahid Ahmed and Ahmed ali akbar. They have done so much work together and their chemistry is always so amazing. I think the credit goes mostly to Yumna although Wahaj has done amazing work.

For me, the best couples of 2023 that I really loved watching, were definitely 1. Wahaj-yumna 2. Hamza-sehar 3. Bilal-sajal Tere bin had the worst story but can't deny the fact that wahaj and yumna's chemistry was electrifying. That's the only reason of its success. Fairytale amd KA two of my favorites of 2023.

For me, hamza and sehar were the best onscreen couple this year. We have never/rarely seen such healthy portrayals of love and companionship on our screens in Pakistani dramas. Umeed and Farjaad and their love is one for history ❤

For me, best couples are those who give me a weird giddy feeling just by looking at the screen. It has nothing to do with the story but just small actions which make chemistry. There was a small scene in kuch ankahi where sajal has a pen in her mouth and sheharyar nonchalantly takes it from her wipes it with his coat and uses it. The scene made me internally scream! The same goes for Tere Bin. This is why my list is based on how I felt as a viewer and which couple made me feel as a third wheeler watching something btw two people in love. 1- Tere bin (Wahaj and Yumna) 2- Fairytale (Sehar and Hamza) 3- Kuch ankahi (Sajal and Sheharyar) 4- Kuch ankahi (Sajal and Bilal) 5- THKN (Saba and Bilal) Honorary mention: kabuli plao, Yunhi

Disagree with Amna. Flaws of the characters should be counted in the writing section. When discussing on-screen couples, it refers to the chemistry they create on screen, captivating the audience. Even if the story had flaws. Thats why there are distinct categories, such as best writer, director couple, etc.

I concur, but also they seem to have translated this chemistry in the many fashion photoshoots they did together,compared to those bold ones with Maya, or even with Ayeza,and Hania, which somehow didn’t evoke that ‘Je ne sais quoi’ which Yumhaj did. I’m sure it’s because they have a healthy professional comfort zone between them, whereas Maya is a close friend and as such tends to be too much ‘ in your face ‘ with Wahaj, and Hania and Ayeza may not confer that ‘comfort zone’ with Wahaj! He just looks uneasy with Ayeza, and Hania!

And one thing i want to add to my previous comment ke wahaj and yumna's chemistry can be seen through and through in the montage or poster shoot itself, the one where both both r looking at each other while holding each other and all the photos with the white outfits OMG usme toh as hasan says aag hi aag hai 🔥 what attracted me to tere bin was these posters and the teasers itself. Their chemistry was so attractive in these posters itself.

I agree with you on Wayeza. They didn't get any scene to portray romance. But even when they looked into each other's eyes, I could feel the spark there. So Chemistry is there... it just needs some time and scenes to ignite the fire properly...

Wahaj and yumna did something special with tere bin honestly. They saved a horrible, problematic script with such magic, pure magic! It was a 100% chemistry, matching to the magic level of fawad and mahira for Pakistan tv industry. IMHO it’s wahaj and yumna hands down #1 Eta: amna sorry you’re overthinking chemistry. Feel free to disagree with me, but I think Wahaj & Yumna's chemistry has far surpassed even Fawad & Mahira's. (again, for those reading this, please dont come @ me with TB's toxic story, Im talking purely about the chemistry). Also, imo, Fawad's best chemistry isn't even with Mahira, but with both Sanams.

Aamna also mentioned DNUTN, where she said Yumhaj had no chemistry, yet I found that despite their limited screen presence together in DNUTN, they did create a chemistry which was palpable but also very real and believable! They then simply translated what they achieved in DNUTN into a mind blowing chemistry when they got together on the TB project! I cannot say I felt this with Seher and Humza, and I think seher also has a special chemistry with Ali Ansari in Rang Mahal which was a darker drama, not so light hearted and bubbly like Fairy Tale!

Can I also add Yumna and Wahaj on screen chemistry introduced the ptv chemistry for all dramas this year who are constantly advertising dramas in name of chemistry and trying to emulate chemistry through lead pairs. If that’s not proof enough that Yumna and Wahaj are number one, I don’t know what else can? When you think of chemistry, Yumna and Wahaj are first names on mind and they had chemistry for scenes which didn’t have romance. It was just 🔥

I don't agree with Aamna about Tere Bin, its kind of convenient to not choose yumna-wahaj stating the script and calling it a boderline toxic relationship. We are talking about chemistry here and the fact that you both kept asking each other to not state the obvious but mentioned hamza - seher easily itself proves that wahaj - yumna's chemistry is a notch higher. Though i like both those couples, wahaj and yumna hit different

For me Best couple of the year yumna & wahaj (yumhaj) no one comes close to them . They has global sensation across the world. There on as well as off screen chemistry is impeccable . They are trending consistently on the social media this year whether it brand campaign, dramas, there small picture, appearance , any BTS they are truly amazing. They are srk & kajol of PTV industry. They had introduced us to new world of chemistry ❤🙌 there hand chemistry uff .they made every other onscreen couple unattractive .there chemistry has given great recognition to PTV industry across the world. 3billion plus views & counting more is not a joke they carried entire drama on there shoulder it is just because of there chemistry there is magic . The camera also falls in love with two.♾️

No comparison between Murtasim Khan’s with any other character. So the best couple were WAHAJ & YUMNA. The worst ones were from Jhok Sarkar - Farhaan and Hiba. If there were not enough scenes for them, it was a big mistake in story writing.

For me if someone doesn't see chemistry in Jimmy Rakhi ,I'm sorry then u really don't know what chemistry is? Kashif Nisar had to tone down so that it doesn't overpower the scene and dialogue or the tone of the drama...So don't ever take them seriously!!!!!

Great choices. Best for me was Wahaj and Yumna, Hamza Sehar, Bilal Sajal. I agree with your worst list as well. Honestly I dont think Zahid and Kinza should make worst couple. If you had seen the whole show you would know why. Anyways, Best of Worst should be Talha-Iqra. Looking forward to seeing other year enders as well.

Sorry but there is no way someone else is at the top when you have Yumna and Wahai in the nominations. They have to be at the top. Their chemistry was the most talked thing this year in ptv and it's surroundings. Amna you couldn't have been more wrong and I am surprised that it's Hassan who was actually right this time because usually it's you. Hassan makes a very good point because you guys are not rating the story or the characters but them together as a couple and their chemistry. How can anyone especially this year surpass Yumna and Wahaj ? They are after Mahira and Fawad one of the biggest hit on screen jori that made it big internationally. The story was so bad yet people were hooked BECAUSE of their chemistry.

Don’t understand why ppl talked about mahira and fawad. If one wants to see chemistry then best till date is MARINA KHAN and RAHAT KAZMI in dhoop kinaray. Even at that time without getting physical they had an excellent unmatched onscreen presence.

Seher and Hamza were more of a fun type of romance, not the heart stopping,pulsating one like Yumna and Wahaj,, who would set the scene of fire, by just one glance at each other! We didn’t see this with Seher and Humza! Saba and Imran also brought very enduring mature romance, and Khushal and Danandeer were outstanding in the teenage intense heart wrenching romance, and finally the odd romance of Haji and Barbeena! I could never put Seher and Humza above Yumna and Wahaj simply because they didn’t set the scene on fire like YUHAJ!🥰

Loved today's discussion and I totally agree with your best and worst lists. I am a bigger Sehar/Hamza fan so agree with Amna that they are the top couple of 2023. Sustaining such fiery chemistry through an entire season 2 when there are no points of friction and no conflict, is no easy feat but they managed to give us romance that can be watched over and over again. The entire shadi sequence, the one where he goes to her room and hides under the bed, the dining table breakfast scene, the seatbelt scene, the morning after walima scene, the gate scene, the video call scene and so many more..simply loved them!

It's not the best drama rating . Drama story and content has nothing to do with this. It is a review of worst and best couples. No matter what Yumna and Wahaj chemistry was superior to all the other couples. Other couples were cute but Wahaj and Yumna were hot!

I 💯 agree with hassan when we talk about chemistry it’s all about the actors not characters because it’s up to the individual how they perform and put in their effort to make it better even though like amna also mentioned Meerub character was poorly written yumna put so much effort to her character that she is phenomenal in that character so for me personally yumna and wahaj without any doubt is a best on screen jori of 2023. Hamza and seher of course very cute and good chemistry same with khushal and dananeer but yumhaj is another level!!! And worst is wahaj with Ayeza / azeyka both and talha with iqra and neelam with everyone 😅also wahaj with hania !!!

💯 I concur with your choice! Despite TB script going off the tract, the magic of Yumna and Wahaj was way more palpable than any others! The Haji and Barbeena was more subtle,Seher and Farhad were more on the level of hyperactive couple, but it didn’t pull one in,in terms of the heart pounding romance Bilal and Sajal was muted,and not in your face romance,Khushal and Danadeer,was a romance with angst,of teen love! I’m inclined to have the Khushal and Danandeer second ! I would add Saba and Imran in Tumhare ye husne ke naam! Splendid couple!

Even though tere bin was the trash bin, you can't deny the fact that it was just chemistry that brought millions and billions of viewership to the drama. Wahaj and Yumna were class apart. Hamza and sehar were great too. I like sajal bilal too though but there weren't many of them together. The story wasn't focused on these two.
