Less is More: Minimalist Philosophy of Life
Minimalism is to act with the sense of multiplicity given by simplicity. It is a practice of mindfulness and intention regarding your possessions, time, and energy. At its core, minimalism preaches a change of mind and demands a balance of less and more. It promises a peaceful life to individuals, away from the consumer society that has peaked in recent years.
A Minimalist Philosophy of Life and Mind
Basically, a minimalist life philosophy advises us to be aware of the simple and utilitarian side of life and not to fall into the traps of consuming or buying. As a matter of fact, happiness is now tied to commodities and people need things to achieve happiness. It is meaningful to look for the reason for the rapid progress of the industry and the supply exceeding the demand. For example, advertisements, which are the biggest supporters of the consumption culture, aim at the consumption to catch up with the production. Neuromarketing or artificial intelligence technologies learn what you desire before you even realize it, question the underlying impulse and encourage you to buy things you don't need. Minimalism, on the other hand, is a simpler, freer and healthier lifestyle. In short, minimalism;
to eliminate our dissatisfaction and dissatisfaction,
to reshape our time,
to live in the moment
to follow our passions,
to discover our life purpose,
to experience true freedom,
to produce more and consume less,
to focus on our health,
to develop as individuals and to invest in ourselves,
helps us get rid of the burden of things
Another phase of minimalism consists of mental processes. For example, being able to say "no" when necessary is a step towards simplicity. The burden of saying "yes" to everything will become heavy over time, but sometimes being able to say no is also a way to lighten up. In another way, mental minimalism is to be aware that every new day is a beginning after accounting for the problems that have plagued us in the past. For this, being forgiving, clearing the brain of negative thoughts and worries, staying in the moment or having positive dreams are important stages of this.
To be a minimalist, you have to live on less than a hundred things, and it can't be your car, your house, or your television, nor a career. You have to be able to live in exotic places all over the world and you have to write a blog. You cannot have children and must be an elite young man with a privileged background.” Ok, we're kidding...
We put a lot of thought into writing the back cover of this book. There were so many things we wanted to highlight that we decided we couldn't write them all down. It's best you read the book.
