Dan Mullins is a Sydney based singer/songwriter, broadcaster, author and podcaster.
Somewhere Along the Way (the Camino Song) came to Dan walking the plains of Spain, as part of a 1000 kilometre odyssey across Europe on what’s called the Camino de Santiago, the Way of St James, in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims before him.
The video was shot by the legendary award-winning Australian filmmaker Bill Bennett.
The Camino is an ancient spiritual and mystical path.
The pilgrims’ collective energy delivered the song straight to Dan’s heart.
It’s a yearning we all hold ~ to find what we’re looking for.

Great song. My sister gave me a book about the Camino years ago, I’ve not read but I always look at the cover of the book. I did a walk earlier this year and at a roadside stop found a scollop shell, it seemed very random but did make me think about the Camino though I was in Aus. I feel a call and pull to go, to walk. Can’t explain it, don’t know what it means, but I hope to go. Thanks for sharing the song. It’s great. I’m singing it too.

Hey Dan, thank you for the wonderful song, great pictures and impressions of the camino. I was on the Frances in 2015 and on the Primitivo in 2016 and sometimes I miss the camino feeling and all the good experiences I made there so strong. Listening to your song and watching the video was like walking on the camino again. Thank you very much for this good start in the day. Greeting from Germany... Chris

Fondly, I embraced the adventure of the Way Etched by the footsteps of a 1,000 years and more. It wasn’t without its ups and downs, and there were many, But the hard parts made easy by simple pilgrim smiles and the beauty of life. The end is here and I have learned something: I can be more than what I was. A reality well-hidden but found on my rocky path called the Camino.
