He and Linda Ronstadt were a great team when they recorded a duet version of this song from the movie, "An American Tail". 👍🏻 if you agree and remembered watching this talking rodent flick back then.

This song was my indirect inspiration to learn how to ice skate. A year ago I was sitting in the stands at an ice skating rink in the Chicago area, watching various ice dancers skate routines to music and it was to this tune that I witnessed a young Japanese-American girl, maybe between 16 and 18 years of age, couldn't have weighed more than 80 pounds, absolutely nail a truly beautiful ice dance routine. It was a stunning show of grace and skill that I doubt I'll ever forget. After seeing her routine, I said to myself: "I want to ice skate like that", despite never having been on ice skates in the many years I've been around. Now I know I'm never going to be wowing crowds, skating to my own routines, but at least I can now ice skate with a fair amount of respectability, in part, due to this song I was fortunate to see a charming young girl giving it all she had, skating to this lovely ballad.
