Funfact : She almost debut as Twice member and Itzy member but then si left JYP Ent and joined YG and became a soloist.

i think she better off as a solo artist tho, i think she did not debut with itzy because at that moment she is already popular and sometimes the balance of the group is important, like people will only focus on her at the beginning. so i think thats why she did not debut with itzy and decided to left jyp

The BlackLabel is part of YGfamily & The CEO is Teddy Park (YG Main Producer) most of in BlackLabel So far is only have the famous Producer of YGfamily (R.Tee, Teddy, 24, and many more) & Soloist (SOMi, ZionT, Vince & Løren).

This is her debut song "Birthday" it is a single album, so the beside to it.. is called "Outta My Head" which she produced and wrote it by herself. And then, her First comeback is "What You waiting for" its a single too and lastly Dumb-Dumb a single again. She comeback once a year (just like Blackpink) so all in all she has 4 songs in 2 years. She debuted in 2019 under THEBLACKLABEL but she's been around in kpop for 6 years.

She is debuted in 2016 with IOI (group that formed from Produce 101 Season 1 - not permanent group). She known since SIXTEEN ( TWICE survival show), after IOI disbanded due to contact she almost debut with iTZY. After she out of JYP, she signed with BLACKLABEL her agency right now and debuted again with Birthday. So yeah, Birthday is her debut song as soloist. This song 'Birthday' means she born again as SOMI not Somi from SIXTEEN, Somi from JYP, or Somi from IOI, but as soloist Somi.

You should check YG legends Bigbang, 2ne1 and Psy. These groups and Psy the soloist made a huge impact for K-pop in a worldwide recognition. Fun fact: YG artists live performances are better than their music video.

she looks younger here because she literally was younger here lol.... she's much taller now, matured, and lost all of her baby fats. She's formerly a member of IOI, a temporary group consists of idols who are from different labels. SOMI was in JYP, after IOI ended, she was again supposed to be debuted as ITZY member but JYP was doing the bare minimum for her, but thanked GOD she left JYP and joined THE BLACKLABEL a sublabel of YG, owned by TEDDY PARK the main producer of BLACKPINK. Somi is in good hands now. She has a hand in all of her music. She's better SOLO than in a group.
