Stop grouping all Asians into one. We are not the same. Sonny and dad are 100% Korean. They do what works for them based on cultural and personal preferences. Go do your own thing based on your own culture. Korean culture like all other cultures is unique. This is not strict for Koreans. His father is not doing as a father but as a football career mentor. He mentioned several times that he never touch personal area other than soccer career related area. And Son might not be in current position without his support, living abroad alone in such a long time without any language and mental readiness at the beginning.
