To be honest I am not a good "follower" of your art: last time I got emotional with you was with Easy performed live with the orchestra featuring Woodkid. Then it skipped right at this present moment at 2:30 a.m. I can't sleep and I found you by chance with this insanely beautiful gem, and it's just the third day it's online. Art and beauty is everywhere here, and this particular experience with you, Son Lux, put you on a level I can consider a standard, speaking of emotions and vibes. This is so beautiful and important to me. Also the choreography was insane, and the video was shot in Milan, where I live and that fact surprised me even more, unespected. I am writing this right after the second time I replayed this video, it's my very first impression. Thank you, you all, for the beautiful things you believe in, and pursue to create.

This brought back a lot of feeling memories for me. Like when caring for dying loved ones… and then finally when they go, there is some guilt in the weight that has been lifted, while at the same time wanting them back despite all the hardships endured in their care. Relief and regret, lightened and yet longing. Where there should be closure there are yet still unanswered (and unanswerable) questions that linger on.

I met this song and your comment one year ago, while I was in the hardest moment of exactly that process. Relief and regret. The immenseness of 'forever' and 'never again'. Still suffering, but only in some moments which I am then able to dedicate, intentionally. Most of the times...

Reading all these comments sums up what creative artistry truly can and should be, When done correct and from the heart it speaks to us in so many forms, ways and direction not one interpretation is wrong or right. Theres that classic saying. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm just thankful appreciative and lucky to be present at a time of this creative piece along with many other great pieces that have been shared over our time on this shared planet. This along with all the most sincere pieces of art from past and to our future will be carried with me till my departure and for that I thank you for being you. Peace and love to all.

I have been having such a hard time typing this out from all the raw emotions this song and visual give me. I have listened to this on repeat and can't stop watching this masterpiece. This brings up so many things from my past memories. All of us have lost loved ones, but there are times where you feel like you can't move on from it and you don't want to let go. From my interpretation of this, the person in black is the friend of the person in tan, who has passed away. The green shirts are a representation of the person in the tan's emotions and subconscious. The person in tan can't get out of their mind of the loss of their friend, hence the part where they are stuck in the darkness of their own mind and depression when looking through all the hallways for an escape. Then we see their friend finally grab their attention, we finally see where they are in reality, about to commit a selfish act as a result from being too far gone in the void. We see their friend giving the notion of a simple head nod, but with that small action we can hear them saying "You're gonna be alright. Everything will be ok, even if I'm not with you. You have so much more to give even through the plans we made. I'm not asking for release or to forget about me, but try and live on without me." This saves the person in tan even though we know that it will still be a hard road to walk or run, we persevere. Thank you so much for this song and beautiful choreography.

The moment i heard the first note, i told to myself "i'm not ready for that" but couldnt stop listening, i rewatched 4 times but i knew the first instant it was about me i'm not asking for release i'm afraid to let you go i dont know what to think nor what to say, as i said, i wasnt ready for that but for sure you find the expression of emotions in a straightforward way, for something that is not, distress, confusion, helplessness, hope and conviction

These audio and video contain so much emotions and are so perfectly matched with each other I cannot even comprehend. I've already watched it like 50 times and I'm still impressed by the amount of work and creativity that all of the people creating this masterpiece have put into it. I'm glad there are still individuals that are able to provide to others this kind of art. Thank you Son Lux and all that were engaged in development of this project. It's beautiful.

Brilliant! This is EVERYTHING! To me at least. I cried. The music the dancing, it was like taking pop n lock and making it a lyrical. I think thats how one would classify it. It blew me away. I shared it with everyone

Beautiful music video as always!!! They're very skilled dancers! I liked the edit of prolonged "mmm release"s before the final chorus, really builds up the tension before that *release* of "I'm afraid to let you go"s even more than the original did! Well done everyone!

To be honest I always listen to the music without watching the video, as i think watching the video can change the perception of the song/music , how it hits you, how you vibe with it. I listened this song as always without watching it. Accidentally my eyes caught the video in the middle of the song and I was left speechless. Interpretation: I envision a relationship between a child and a narcissistic parent. The child doesn't regret what's been given to them (life), and doesn't ask to forget what happened, because the child's identity was formed through this relationship. Even if the child tried, they couldn't forget or release the past and tough experiences, since "what is permanent remains". There's this constant, endless battle internally within the child, trying to find their own sense of self outside of what the narcissist taught the child to be, an extension of themself that is nothing without them. Externally, as the child grows up, it becomes hard to let go of this parent, who gave them life, or else let go of what the parent has done if they have changed. This reality sets in when the child grows up. Do you let the past go? Do you let your parent go? How do you let go?

Wow. First heard this amazing man's work back in 2008. At war with walls and mazes was music to my ears for years. Somehow I completely forgot about this soulfilled auditory lushness, only to realise after about 6 years (10 seconds ago) that the man has been steady at it all this time, and that I, have an awful lot of gleeful catching up to do!!! I stopped writing due to trauma and I said I wanted to start writing again The Universe brought me this song and I actually wrote today. I'd like to Thank you for that and share this Wrote this today The universe brings things to me and it brought me this song Never heard of this artist before and I haven't listened to his other music Just this song.... This is how this song makes me feel I listen in my most intimate place In the shower Where I can be vulnerable and free As I listen I shed a tear or two sometimes three They're not sad tears though Or the ones you want to run away from No apologies needed Because it's only me These tears are freeing For I think often times we hold onto trauma because we're afraid Afraid that without the thoughts plaguing our mind A constant reminder that we're worthless and a never ending recording of past events that can not be changed Yet in a way You know that you're not alone Fear of the unknown can keep you trapped A never ending cycle of living Yet never lived Warped in the cycle of self abuse At least that isn't obtuse Because you already know every word, corridor, floors very much explored Events stamped in time You don't have to hit rewind because you go there every day All though those events are horrible You feel safe Like dead flowers in a pretty vase As, I hold ladybug in a warm embrace dancing under the warm droplets of water I cry These are not sad tears No, they're freeing For I know that I can let go and It's ok to finally be alone For once the stillness of the quiet will not bring Fear When I close my eyes I see the future and not the past Rewind is not an option because I'm slowly burning the tape And there's no room for the space my future is about to take So, I'll listen to this song every day In my most intimate place For those tears that I shed are needed
