I hate I missed this concert! Was in Key West this past may and went to Margaritaville. I did see him in concert in Atlanta in the 1980s . Been a Parrothead since then! Jimmy deserves every dime he has made! I hope his health is better! Thank you, Jimmy for making my early (and later) adulthood so much fun! Passing it on to my Gen Z children, who we introduced you to in Key West!

Two months after this concert...he's officially a Billionaire! It takes a really smart guy to turn the royalties from a minor hit - Come Monday -into a billion dollars...

What do you expect with the last name of Buffet!
@zuketroop1 Жыл бұрын
I think it goes without saying that it was actually Margaritaville that made him a billionaire... not the song so much as the branding that it brought. The music itself didn't make him a billionaire it’s the business ventures. The resorts, the restaurants/bars, the retirement developments, and whatever else he's involved with. He's a successful businessman. It started with selling escapism, and ultimately so much more.
@cstar54 Жыл бұрын
…..along with being one of the top tour musicians of the last 49 years or more, lots and lots of sold out venues!!!
@zuketroop1 Жыл бұрын
@cstar54 which is only ONE point among others, why he's never been nominated for or elected into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Let's start with Depeche Mode, The Go Go's, and Tupac. What the hell. Those acts have no business being in there, and yet they are, and Buffett has never even been nominated.
