Started with this band when I was a teen, and I've been here with every album release since Days of Grays. I'm beyond excited for this new album

I discovered this band back in high school around 2012. It was the only band I discovered by myself and had spoken deeply to me. I have never listen to metal before but I fell in love. My first song was "wolf and raven" and is still my favorite; more so now cause my name and my bf's is Wulf and Raven. Thank you for the many years of music!!! I'm so excited what the next album will bring!!!

Honestly, I was fully ready to see them kind of mellow out and play hard rock for the remainder of their days. I had made peace that we wouldn't really get back the energy that we were familiar with and that was okay. I wasn't expecting a full sincere return to form, and I can't wait to hear the rest. Keep it up guys :)

I just realized I´ve been a huge Sonata fan for 20 years, time flies... Even though I loved the mellow part from Unia, Stones , The Ninth Hour and Acoustic Adventures, I´m really happy to hear Tony decided to return to a more "energetic" type of songs, hope to see this live in Colombia! Lol they know their longtime fans are in our 30s/40s now. Thanks guys. 😅 In seriousness though, I’m really excited for the album and to hear a little more leading up to it! Actually Pariah’s Child pulled me back in after I lost interest around Unia. After I saw them on the Pariah’s Child tour I liked a lot of the songs I didn’t know and went back to check out the discography I’d missed and was NOT disappointed. It’s different but quality music. I think being older and more musically diverse than when I was younger allowed me to enjoy them whereas I was just looking for speedy melodies as a teen. Been closely following the band again ever since. 9th Hour is actually one of my favorites from them now.

I have been a huge fan since i was about 13. I'm 31 now and although i love the power metal era... Ninth hour is my favourite album, i would have absolutely loved to hear more of that style. But i'll love anything these guys produce 🔥♥️

I always liked the more Rock and alternative stuff. Was not a fan of all the latest unplugged stuff but thats ok. An artist should do what they feel is right for the moment. I am happy to get some Power Metal again. And even if the next album is electro pop I will still be a Sonata Fan!

I have recently rediscovered some of their older songs, that I grew up with, like Black Sheep (first song I ever heard from them), Mary-Lou (one of my all time favorites), The Last Amazing Grays and so many others. There is also some nostalgia there, but the songs themselves are still incredible, and the energy they give is out of this world! Certainly looking forward to them releasing more Power Metal songs similar to the Ecliptica album.

At 2:45 Tony highlighted a lot of truth. I have been listening to SA since late 2004. There were album periods where I just stopped. Although, I had a major career change, I wasn't listening to SA at that time. Now I'm an elementary school teacher in California.

Sonata Arctica - Silence! 🤘🏽🐺

I'm 28 and i've been listening to the band for 20 years now, since i was a kid, i was obsessed with Silence, Reckoning Night, etc, but i always found interesting things even in your more recent albums, it was an interesting musical direction, evolving is necessary to stay fresh. I really liked Talviyö for example, it brang me back to the band cause i stopped following your career after The Days of Grays (for no particular reason, just growing up and changing taste i guess). Returning back to power metal might seem like a regression, but if you bring something new without relying on nostalgia (like Stratovarius flawelessly managed to do on their post Timo Tolki era) it's gonna work.

I havent bought Sonata CDs for ages, this one I pre ordered

For me it never stop being Metal, I guess people who just stays in one genre had a problem with the new songs but the last album had some really powerful stuff. Message from the sun is brutal and the Ninth Hour had some amazing fast songs like Rise a Night.

This exact same thing happened 10 years ago, pariahs child was their most power metal since reckoning night but it was still not that powery

Their last album did suck, I’m a long term fan so I can say that!! plus touring with Stratovarius undoubtedly brought them back to proper power metal!!

This is their return not just to power metal, but their return to power. The Spinefard records are the reason why people has supported them all these years. So it is nice to see them giving back to the people instead of just selling them false hope as they had before.
