Ahh,with a bit of power metal one can never go wrong! Nice reactions, it's always great to see someone really enjoy a good tune! If you want something truly epic from this band, then you must really try Destruction Preventer and Power Of One. These are longer, more progressive songs that really allow the band to show their full talent. Also, shout out to Tony Kakko (the lead singer), in my opinion one of the all-time best power metal vocalists ever!

Power metal time, eh? You might wanna put Stratovarius on your list, then. "Black Diamond" or "Hunting High and Low" would do nicely. Oh, and about Sonata Arctica; I'll add "Victoria's Secret" to the list of recommendations.

Welcome to the world of Power Metal... Sonata Arctica is probably my favourite band in this genre but there are plenty with great great songs... From Sonata I strongly recommend you to take a look at their first album Eclíptica, it's considered a masterpiece of the genre with Letter To Dana, UnOpened, FullMoon or MaryLou as the best songs (for me at least). Other songs I like could be Tallulah or White Pearl, Black Oceans Part 1... So there you have some suggestions, great video :)

I like the lead singer Tony Kakko(sp). He is good friends with Tuomas of Nightwish. He has sang with Nightwish a couple of times at festivals. I like some of their songs.

The visiting keyboardist on this song is your fellow swede Jens Johansson, who used to play with Yngwie Malmsten, and later your neighbours in the east, Stratovarius.

This song is too limited to only one style, they got soooo many good song with a lot of other elements, not only power metal, I strongly recomend songs like “ Juliet” “till death done us apart” “white pearl black oceans” “the end of this chapter”

I don't know what it is about this band, but their music makes me so HAPPY. So little metal does that. And actually not all power metal does that for me either (and I have listened to a lot of it...this band is special that way). But if you listen to more of this band, you will find that while Sonata Arctica started out as a power metal band, their sound evolved a LOT. A couple of their albums, most notably Reckoning Night and Unia are more prog metal than power metal. The band, though, describes their style as "melodic" metal, which to me seems like a cop-out. Most metal has at least some dissonance and chromaticism, which sometimes overwhelm the DIATONIC components entirely, but it's rare to find metal that has no melodic component at all. Anyway, they also remind me a lot of the band Queen, in their use of dramatic themes and operatic structures. I recommend the song "It Won't Fade" from Unia. Probably my favorite.

Hi! Amazing that you have given so many finnish band a listen! We have so much more, lol! Maybe check Amorphis, my favourite is song Silent waters. And Apocalyptica is like no other band, a cello group that plays metal! Their cover of Nothing else matters allways gets me but they have own songs also. And Nothern Kings is a collaboration of 4 great finnish male metal vocalists, someone here allready suggested a song from them. So many, difficult to choose!

Sonata Arctica is a band that I've overlooked for far too long. I've heard them being mentioned ever so often, but I've yet to actually sit down and properly listen to them. Sounds like I've been missing out.

The walls around me eyes surround me feed my fear again. I must be freed I will die before the harvest moon, my friend. I do not have another year in me you gotta set me free! (The dream is alive...) My childhood left me with crippling c-ptsd and this song gives me strength to overcome it.

Oh nice to see some Power Metal here :) Great song ! This was their last amazing album sadly, they made great songs after this album, but as a whole they lost their touch in my opinion.Sonata still one of my favorite Power Metal bands till today tho
