I revisit the skirmish game that got me into miniatures games! Ganesha Games’ Song of Blades and Heroes. Tribe of the Black Blade vs. The Azure Shields. Enjoy! Thanks for watching!

Another nice setup and amazing adventure. I know I've touched those dwarven dice before, that's why you rolled so many ones.

I'd like to know where you got the card listing your army units stats
@magehammersgametable Жыл бұрын
I made them on Google Docs using insert table. I then printed them out on card stock.

great video. I am considering picking up this rule set. Did the ogre die due to him being transfixed?
@magehammersgametable Жыл бұрын
Glad to hear it! The game is awesome! And yes. He was extra vulnerable being transfixed.

You may like to play deepwars and ShadowSea too. The two games has the same rules. They have a good models, great lore. And if you have a 3D printer you can they have files to print figures and terrain.

I will check those out! Sadly no 3D printer…yet! Thanks for commenting!!

@@magehammersgametable I do not have a 3D printer either. They are a lot of fun games. It takes place in the 17 century. With pirates/ treasure hunters. Mutated sea creatures, an ancient civilization with robots, mermaids, that’s for the deepWars. Both deepWars and ShadowSea can be combined to one game. Only need about 4-8 figures.

Great game and explanation!! Where did you get the warband sheet?
@magehammersgametable10 ай бұрын
I did them on Google Docs. But I must have erased it because I can’t find the file. If I find it, I will share the link here

If i already activated my entire warband and my oponent has units that didnt activate and he gets 2 fails, do i get to nominate any unit in my team regardless of if it already did its thing? (My whole team did)
@magehammersgametable2 жыл бұрын
Yes
@magehammersgametable2 жыл бұрын
Once two fails are rolled on the other side, it’s your turn again to nominate any of your units you want. It makes for excellent tactical decisions.
@Luchiop2 жыл бұрын
@@magehammersgametable so a same unit can act and fail passing the turn and then act again when the oponent also fails passing me the turn. They don´t exhaust or have to wait till the whole team act to act again. Sry for my broken english, trying to understand play structure.
@magehammersgametable2 жыл бұрын
@@Luchiop Yes. Think of every miniature as a separate unit. They are individuals. If any model fails two Quality rolls in an activation, play passes to the opposing player.
@magehammersgametable2 жыл бұрын
And that player may activate any miniature they choose. Failed activations are a full reset for the opposing side

Are you able to play this without terrain?
@magehammersgametable2 жыл бұрын
Yes. But it becomes much less interesting because there are fewer tactical options available without terrain. Still doable, though.
@jaymea89072 жыл бұрын
@@magehammersgametable makes sense! Does the book layout the terrain or you just make it up? I’m totally new to this game from 4AD.
@magehammerChad2 жыл бұрын
@@jaymea8907 There are some basic scenarios in the book that have a small amount of set up. If I remember correctly (haven’t used the scenarios in a while), the players take turns laying pieces of terrain to set up the board. Since I mostly play solo, I just set up what I think looks cool.
