I would have put When you Believe against 'close every door' I think that's a more powerful song than ADWD

Doing a song comparison between a solo and an ensemble song from two different musicals isn’t fair. Either do two songs from the same musical or two songs of the same caliber like two solos from two different musicals or two ensemble songs from two different musicals

Both songs are beautiful! I think the “When you Believe” song is my favorite btw the two! It has so much energy, feeling just an all around powerful song! 🤩🥹I have not heard the “Any dream will do” song for awhile! Great to hear it again! 💗💗💗

If we're going to compare the two shows based off of one song from each, I'd go with "Close Every Door" it's way more emotional than "Any Dream Will Do"

There both are great and great voices with great songs honestly hope is tie but if one has to get the rightful place then I definitely prefer Joseph if is not the one that played when you believe both songs are awesome

I think everyone will agree with me when I say "Any dream will do when you believe" is the better song, even though "When you believe, any dream will do" is also great! 😋

There are plenty of songs that can be compared from different musicals, but this is an UNFAIR comparrison. Soloist and Choir vs. Ensemble singing a power ballard. A more fair Comparison would be something like When you Believe vs This is Me

2 different style songs. Donny for the win but just because he is one of my favorites. The POE song is beautiful though.

What you have to remember is, Joseph is a children's play. I was written so that kids could sing the songs. Prince of Egypt is a full blown musical written for adult performer. It's not a fair comparison.

I think that Any Dream Will Do has a clearer message to it... but When You Believe is just the better performance/song

No comparison. Very different genders and many years and music aesthetic from each play... Anyway, thought this version of "when you believe" is really nice, the original movie version and the two divas' performance is from another planet.

This comparison makes no sense. Comparing these, they are too different. Compare this to Close every Door. Joseph wins both just the same.

Well “Joseph” is itself a better show. The stage version of “Prince of Egypt” seriously disappointed. Donny Osmond as Moses would have made an improvement honestly. The casting and the whole set up was just weird. Okay maybe not Donny Osmond literally, but if they were trying to do something akin to the animation by Dreamworks, sorry they missed the mark by a lot.
