If you do nothing else ... ever in this life, start at 20 minutes in and listen for 6 minutes. But first, pour yourself a tall ice cold good Vodka, raise the speaker volume as high as your neighbors will allow. Sit back, close your eyes and be transported to heaven.

I first heard a song from this album on the radio in New York sometime in the early '50s. I called the radio station and found the album title and that it was on Mercury Record label. I bought it and treasured as my favorite for many, many years. We retired and moved to Las Vegas in 2000. In the move, the record was lost! I was devastated. Thank you so much for uploading it onto KZfaq. Sincerely, Stan Goldfarb

[2 at 2:11] Otshi Tshernia (Dark Eyes [Ojos Negros]). ... [3 at 5:50] Kak Skoutshno (I'm Bored [Estoy Aburrido]). .... [4 at 8:36} Tolko Ras (Only Once [Solamente Una Vez]). ... [5 at 12:26] Variatzii Na Pesn Kosaka (Variations On Cossacks Song [Variaciones de una Canción Cosaca]). ... [6 at 14:26] Tot Gorod Malenkii (Little Town [Pequeño Pueblito]). AQUI SE ACABA EL LADO 2 DEL DISCO, lo que sigue, SON CANCIONES DEL LADO 1. ... ... [2 al 20:06] Volga Reka (Volga River [Rio Volga]). ... [3 al 20:26] Podmoskownia Vetshera (Lily Time [Tiempo de Lili]). ... [4 al 29:50] Tam Bubna Zvon (At The Sound Of The Little Bells [Al Sonido de las Campanitas]). ... [5 al 32:15] Dwe Guitari (Two Guitars [Dos Guitarras]). INGLES: This LP, in reality, is beginnig IN THIS VIDEO, with the side 2 of the original LP, therefor, the 1st melody played here is called: [1 at 0:00] Aleksandriiskia Gussari (The Alexandrian Huzzars [Los Husares de Alejandro]), ... [2 at 2:11] Otshi Tshernia (Dark Eyes [Ojos Negros]). ... [3 at 5:50] Kak Skoutshno (I'm Bored [Estoy Aburrido]). .... [4 at 8:36} Tolko Ras (Only Once [Solamente Una Vez]). ... [5 at 12:26] Variatzii Na Pesn Kosaka (Variations On Cossacks Song [Variaciones de una Canción Cosaca]). ... [6 at 14:26] Tot Gorod Malenkii (Little Town [Pequeño Pueblito]). HERE IT ENDS THE SIDE 2 OF THE LP. What it follow, are the songs of the original side 1. … I’m going to respect the numeration that has de record. Happens that in the side 1, there are only 5 melodies, while in side 2 there are 6. … You Will notice that around minute 17:20 there is a long pause, due to the fact that whoever made the video, around that particular minute, he or she, WAS TURNING AROUND THE DISK, and you could notice, that there is a long pause, due to the fact that at that minute, it was needed more time for the turn over, besides you can hear the needle of the record player, makes contact with de disc. [1 at 17:30] Tzigan (Gypsy [Gitana]). ... [2 at 20:06] Volga Reka (Volga River [Rio Volga]). ... [3 at 20:26] Podmoskownia Vetshera (Lily Time [Tiempo de Lili]). -- I think that the producers, in their eagerness to deny that this melody had being created AFTER the october revolution, had on purpose changed THE ORIGINAL NAME of this melody, without taking in consideration thaat almost everybody that loves russian music, KNOWS THAT THE ORIGINAL NAME of this melody is: NIGHTS OF MOSCOW, or MIDNIGHT IN MOSCOW. [4 al 29:50] Tam Bubna Zvon (At The Sound Of The Little Bells [Al Sonido de las Campanitas]). ... [5 al 32:15] Dwe Guitari (Two Guitars [Dos Guitarras]).

@@timmurphy5541 I didn't notice it last night - only that it was in stereo (my original LP, as mentioned, was in mono), but today I heard a bit of the telltale 'static hiss' in intro to the beginning. I am happy to cede primacy to you on this fantastic album of music! (It was included among a collection of LP's given to me. I listened to the whole LP, and, of course, thought "oh my, what a freakin' gem!")

In 2017, I moved to Costa Rica to be of help to my daughter, and as I lived very close to the Central Brevard Public Library, in Cocoa, gave my very extensive collection of LP's to them. They were pleased, and in turn gave me a collection of 18 cassettes wrapped in original celophane in two series: the Greatest Hits of 1943-1954, and the Great American composers. These were all gems, too! They said they had had "no call" for casettes in several years)
