Love these tips. Especially the one about just writing to God directly and not worrying if anyone ever sings the songs or likes them. Ben is one of my favorite songwriters!

I am a song writer also. I will check out those books. I really like "That's the Power" I like how the lyrics are delivered in an almost preaching kind of style. I heard that style of preaching, almost song like, at a church here in the South of the United States. I have always liked the Big City Mass Choirs, so I hear a hint of that. Its engaging and kind of pulls the listener in.
