OW!!!! That God damn music fucks with my ears, and those special stages just want to make your ears bleed, also the new island soundtrack. The only positive thing in this game is most of those changes like the pallette changes but somehow sonic turns black when underwater in the new island zone.

... (long post coming through) Water Cave Act 1's soundtrack edit didn't sound bad. Adding the funkiness to the song was pretty good. But Said stage's Act 2 variant was a little off. The funkiness was still good, and I mean, good. Like, they didn't have to do anything else with the music. But, they did. Also, I think it was Water Cave Act 1 when I saw how they edited the level design to two quarter loops heading downward and I awaited an amazing speed design but instead found Sonic hanging on the conveyor. I was disappointed- I waited for a speedy experience but instead got a conveyor belt. That moment felt incomplete. Killer Garden's background palette threw me off a little on a more color direction. The sky's rich red bothered me. If they were going for a dusky look, a softer shade of orange would have sufficed. However, if they were going for a more ominous feel... I don't know what to say about that. For a more ominous feel, I would probably suggest changing the entire palette to give it that feel (and, I don't mean ominously epileptic). Or, a different stage edit in general but that's a lot of work if one is familiar with introducing new shapes and whatnot in a stage (I'm currently learning how to accomplish that). Also, Night of Death stage, like New Island, please fellow hackers, be mindful of underwater palettes. They differ from the "dry" palettes. I don't mess with stages with underwater palettes- too complicated for my beginner mind, for now. And, Mushroom Land's stage palette introduced too many colors. I'm not sure if this is for a joke matter or not but the colors distracted me as I watched this. If this is a joke hack, then I'll let it pass. All of it, really, I'll let it pass. But, I don't think it is. Is it? Sorry if this sounded ultra-critical. I don't to come off as sounding mean or "on-my-high-horse" or anything. I should say kudos to this fellow hacker as they actually uploaded a successful hack. My little behind is still dancing around mine, nowhere NEAR complete and I keep procrastinating on it. Plus, I don't think it'll even be that good which also encourages me to not even uploading it anyway. So if anything, I should be congratulating this hacker instead of criticizing them. xD Also Amy, awesome playthrough! It must have took a lot of practice and time to master this hack and all of the other ones. Keep up the good work!

Is this a TAS run? If it is it really should be in the description. If not then sorry, just seems a little over precise for being ordinary human control. Particularly the seventh special stage, I've never seen anyone do anything remotely like that without screwing it up at least once.

How is that? They'll get feedback and then do better next time. Rom hacking isn't a profession. You can't just expect a certain level of quality out of hobbyists. It could certainly lead to a professional job, but if you don't put your stuff out there and learn how to do it, you probably won't get very far.

TheCongressman1 What I'm saying is, even if it's not their profession, if they take pride in what they do then putting out such shoddy quality work does no good for them as a rom hacker/composer. I understand that feedback is good, but putting time and effort into something before you decide it's ready to be shown to the world is usually the best route to go. This just sounds like they moved the pitches around and basically slaughtered the soundtrack.

Possibly a glitch in that particular stage as there seems to be about 123 or so left on the counter. I watched I little more closely in the second Special Stage and there are about 9 left at the end but I'm almost certain that they are all accounted for when the player closes the perimeter of the last box of spheres, turning them into rings. Still watching through the rest of it atm though.

I have several questions bout the level design.Why in 3:56 the forest is black when its burning,why in the Sky Sanctuary remake zone the sky is black,then turns into a mix of day and night,then back to black,why in New Island zone Sonic is black underwater,why is the Death Egg Robot purple,and why,just WHYYYYYY,is the second part of The doomsday zone is all glitched out,like wtf?
