Idle animations from each entry of the Sonic Advance series. For Sonic Advance 3 I also show every partner combination as they are sometimes slightly different.

I gotta say the GBA was better than I thought when it came to quality animation. The Sonic Advance trilogy and the Megaman Zero series as well as Mother 3 are solid examples

Exactly, most of the best looking 2D games came from the Game Boy Advance. The Boktai games are also very good looking. (And very good games in general.)

Sonic Advance 3 Sonic- Lays down and gets tired Tails- Sits down looks at the sky and looks at his feet Knuckles- Punches the air and doing Push Ups Amy- Sits down and looks at the sky Cream- Yawns and sleeps

My personal favorites: SA1: Sonic and Knuckles. Both of their idle sprites are really true to their character. While the others are expressive, they're not really conveying the true nature of them. SA2. Tails. Has a cute, anime-like animation. But why do we have to press the Up button to activate the idles was beyond me even as a child. This game was _obsessed_ with speed and rushing in order to obtain almost anything, bar the SP rings. SA3. Cream. Expressive, adorable and fitting for one of the youngest Sonic characters.

Exactly, which makes it unacceptable that it still hasn't been rereleased. Way to little people are talking about it since it's getting harder and harder to play the game.

Advance 2 really hammered in the emphasis on speed. The characters start their idle animation the very moment they stand still

SegaSonicStuff No, wait! Once i ask myself a question: "Why Sonic cant freesing when he is in Snowy zone? Why Sonic doesnt get sick?"(but Sonic were sick in Sonic and the Secret rings, i hope you remember that scene) So i have my version of Sonic's idle when he in Snowy zones! Sonic while his long standing suddenly starts shivering and his eyes starts hurt cause of snow wind. Then Sonic's nose starts tickling and Sonic sneezed covering his mouth with both his hands. Then he rubs his nose and looking on player and ask him: "Can we go right now? I can caught a....kshuu! Cold! And 2 version when Sonic sneezed on his elbow and then fall down!

That would be a cool idle animation. ^_^ You could say Sonic caught a cold in Secret Rings because he often visits cold zones. =) Anyways as to why Sonic isn't cold in the snowy zones you could say Sonic is warming up because he runs so much. (They say you warm up if you sport so running really fast counts right? ;) )
