@@danishdiana102 If I recall correctly the most recent writers said they got their knowledge about the characters from Wikipedia back when they made Colors. Not sure if they got around to playing them in the end.

Forces was super fucked. Appearently the first draft was written by someone from the comics and was so bad that the american writers(you know, the bad ones) had to rewrite it on a fundamental level. after that, they had to decide if japan should write the story or america. In the end the american writers made the storyoutline but the actual tale was written by some rando in japan because they couldn't get the better people?(I was unable to find anything on that thing.) The script was appearently going pretty decently until they somehow lost the script. After that, they began rushing the game because "it gotta be out that year", essencially forcing the writing and level-designing parts of the team to downgrade their already mediocre work to oblivion. When the game was finished writingwise, they cut out some dialogue that was pretty bad, but they went too cuthappy and cut out some genuinely good stuff too. And then it was handed back to the american writers to localise it for western audiences. Also they for some reason changed mephiles out for shadow in the middle of writing the story. I assume it was because him being there would make no sense, but infinite relying on shadow kinda makes even less sense if one thinks about it.

@@perrypro1263 No actually, mephiles was in the spot the shadowillusion is in the final game. I do not have a link to it on hand tho. (though one piece of evidence is that there was a sonic 06 event planned for runners before that game died. Both characters were just thrown in before end of service after the event was cancelled and well....it is mephiles and ESP silver. ESP silver is actually in forces in a cutscene is the big deal. So it was likely meant to be a crosspromotion-teaser.) A funfact tho, there was indeed a minor switch in the mainplot. The phantom ruby was originally an item that was called something else. It essencially had the same function tho, so pulling the ruby in from mania to generate sales makes sense.

Sonic Forces is actually a decent game once you put the heavily repeated levels to the back of your mind. I heard Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric was a cataclysmic failure of a game so all in all it depends on your definition of a bad game.

Yea sonic 3 tails was different from sonic but also better in a lot of ways. When you played co op he was a total monster capable of supporting sonic in the best ways. Sonic mania was pretty awesome too. Sonic adventure 1-2 let tails shine as well but now he's just sonics subservient engineer friend and relegated to the sidelines.

Aside from Shadow we don't care about the other two, GIVE THE CHARACTERS BACK.

There wasn't particularly any event or anything but recent games really have destroyed his personality. He is still great in the comics and stuff but in the games he just hasn't been as cool as he should be since Unleashed

I do really hope that Sonic Team make Tails a playable character in the next game as I think this will be one way to make him as cool as he was in the Adventure games

The sa2 is a remix, so it's not bad at all, I prefer the original "unknow from me" of sa1 knuckles rather than the sa2

(in my opinion) yes, sa2 version is way more annoying sounding, and its way less rhythmic, plus the guitar solo is worse.
