I had the pleasure of witnessing this Great & Legendary Band for the first time in the mid-1960s at a game with Mississippi Valley State University...Wonderful and I have never forgotten it.

JSU is slammin!!! Coming from the Northeast I'm on the outside looking in so I can appreciate the various styles of most of the HBCU Marching Bands.

The SONIC BOOM has a great quality of sound, and their show stopping performance is what makes them the BEST. From your #1 Kentucky fan, here in 2019 still watching all the videos I can of JSU marching band.

The band sounds and looks good. Drum majors are off the chain, major improvement from last year. The head major reminds me of Clincy, and he was the best.

This was hot..even when I attended JSU watching the entrance was the best part.. Maybe they do the same entrance the same way every hbcu band does. Cut it..I guess that's why they continue to be duplicated and always invited to take part in different events..

Very true, SU a good band their not a "Sonic Boom" or even the second best. No disrespect, but I would have a problem rating SU ahead of Alcorn, or Prairie View. "The Sonic Boom" will always be the measuring stick. "The straw that stirs the drink"....

There are many good HBCU bands in the country, even a couple great ones. But there will NEVER be but ONE "Sonic Boom".. And they will always be, "The straw that stirs the drink"....

When you are the best, hate unfortunately comes with the territory, they can't do anything about it, so people with small minds start hating, we need to commend all of our people, especially these outstanding young people, they have perfected their mission, razor sharp, and concentrating on continuing to be the BEST, period, and really that is all that matters!
