It's about the only time I can actually get my head around him being voiced by Travis Willingham. The tone still seems wrong (guess he's got a lot of range that otherwise doesn't get a chance to be used) but the delivery is definitely his style and it feels almost like an adlib or something he'd suggest, and they just animated around it. EDIT: Well ok maybe when he whips out those reading glasses. Even though that's an animation quirk rather than a voice acting one, I have to wonder if elements of how each character moves may have been based on the VAs themselves. Movement and pose can affect vocal tone after all so it might make things seem more natural?

Dude, there was an _entire episode_ where he _showed up at Sonic and Tails' house_ and crashed there for a week because his fortress was out of commission... They're basically frenemies, doing the whole "stuck in a time loop and completely aware of it" thing.

Which makes you think that probably Sonic games don't exist in Sonic Boom, since they literally had "Sonic but it's not Sonic" game on the episode with Nominatus and now the first videogame Sonic can think about it Super Mario instead of his own. While in the modern universe games, movies, comics etc. all exist and are the same as ours.

My personal favorite scene is in the same episode of Knuckles almost putting the baby in the blender, the baby escapes and Tails (or Sonic) goes, “What if he’s in trouble? What if he’s hurt?” And Knuckles goes, “Oh, what if he’s pursuing a degree in liberal arts?!”

@@CitizenTheory Not to be that guy, but technically in this video there at least three nickels because Eggman happen to dance for third times/time. But.. If we count all of total dance/dances he did/does from Sonic Boom Season1 ep 1 to Season2 ep 52 or 53. We/I probably miss calculated/calculates/calculation/calculationed the exact real number of dance/danced/dances he truly did/does during the show.

@UnfairnessOfLife3011 Thanks! I've been "that guy" often enough that I don't mind. Probably had it coming. Ended up rewatching it. Edited to be correct. 'Cuz OP mentioned dance sequences, I missed/didn't think of the first side-to-side deal he did in front of Sonic and co. As to how many I saw in the show, not to be that guy, but I didn't watch it, so I didn't see any then.

I actually really like the more annoyed/mean feel of the show, all the talk about the power of friendship can get old. I think it fits the Characters to have more of an adult edge since they knew eachother for so long they are confortable with being more open and upfront

42 here and I can confirm that Sonic Boom is far more hilarious than it has any right to be. Feels like they started out making a more adult oriented show that was essentially one long shitpost, then were told that it actually needed to be child-friendly with at least some very vague nod to continuity so made the bare minimum necessary changes. Kind of like converging on a similar target as Hey Duggee or Bluey but from the opposite direction, and abandoning all pretence of trying to be educational instead of going straight for the jugular with the gags.
