isn't nmi not a exe? but like an alternate or a being in our universe [if my lore knowlage is right, honestly its so hard to keep up they come out faster then the aus in undertale now] plus i think hop-hop is just doing "exes". [though i might be wrong on that im sure they will correct me], but it would be cool to see them reacting to a player getting trapped in a pc.

Rewrite is actually the original of all. This is one of the reasons why he can mimic because he was them before them. Yeah kind of doesnt make sense but you get the point. He doesnt mimic but has the souls of all them.

I'm a little late to this, but I think that Rewrite isn't just an ordinary shapeshifter. During the part where Rewrite is doing the "as above, so below" pose, (12:24) he has 3 red rings on him. One on each of his arms and one on his left leg. I think that those rings are actually Xenophane, Majin and Lord X's souls. And side note, during the third part of the third song where he's pixelated, his voice switches between Majin, Xenophane and Lord X's voices. Which would mean that Rewrite is more of a god than most of the EXEs. Edit: it has just been clarified to me that this is confirmed by the creator to be false. Apologies.

I found somewhere that Rewrite is just a version of the original Sonic.EXE that has been played so many times that it’s learned it doesn’t need to have a terrifying appearance to intimidate the player.

Fun fact: the reason why trinity is stomping in that one part is because he's struggling to move because the sprites in the mod don't allow him to move Which is probably because of the bf barrier thing

Reason: Rewrite isn't a Sonic that is being possesed or a demon/cosmic being that shapeshifted into sonic he's just a Sonic that Is Far Corrupted bacause The Person that Played the game Rewrote the saves and game to much and Lord X is a eggman that fused with sonic's DNA resulting on Lord X but as i said cant argue with the knowlege of FNF
