So glad to finally be involved in this series. When the first episode came out I kinda felt left out and kinda felt bummed about it, but you were really saving me for the finale, kinda like how big villians & heroes were saved for the finale of a TV series or like how Palpatine was revealed for Rise of Skywalker. I think this has to be your biggest hit of this year and how its a combination of your old crossover animations and your current work.And its like a throwback to Sonic Movie Madness and IMP the Fan. Fandom Wars are pretty much older than history itself with wars about different religions and then theres the Catholics vs Protestants where even though they both worship Jesus you must only worship him one way. Sonic fans cant agree with everything and there are 3 generations of Sonic fans now (90's 00's & 2010's) but there are good things about him as well, and I'm interested to see what the series will be like in the new decade. And I'm curious about how they're gonna do this Sonic movie, even though its just another generic 'fish out of water story', and I'm mostly curious about Jim Carrey's take on Eggman. Also maybe you should go with sponsoring Raid:Shadow Legends instead as Mobile game sponshorships are the way to go..or VPN. Anyway excellent job mate, and can someone get me off this foot?

I laughed way too much at Classic Sonics segments, also great parody of the industry/community and the sometimes unnecessary, forced use of meta humor because appearantly being sincere in fiction is considered a bad thing nowadays. But it seems from the comments that these jokes have gone over people's heads :/ Ah well that's what Knuckles being confused is for lol

As much as I am saddened by how the real life status of the franchise is accurately represented here, I laughed through the entire thing. That spliced with some awe inspiring moments of course. This is the best Sonic animation I saw in a while. Maybe ever. Just to imagine how much work went into it. I simply love it. Great work!

18:24 The Phantom Ruby has a point. Sonic 06 was the nail in the coffin. It was an exacerbation of the problems the series was having in story and technicals. It irreversibly stained the series reputation to nothing more than a laughingstock. Sonic Team's move was to then remove any trace of 06 by introducing the boost formula, axe all non-sonic playstyles (excluding the tornado), and making the story more lighthearted. When this worked, Sonic Team decided to run with it. This started with the story, which was made more and more lighthearted, starting with colors. Due to Sega's insistent deadlines, the team realized that when the gameplay is scripted, then it's harder to break. The games played it more and more safe with each release. Lost World stepped out of line and delivered something fresh. While flawed, it would have made for an interesting base gameplay-wise. (Storywise, it was color's shitty jokes taken to the extreme, but that's beside the point). However, because Lost World wasn't perfect, anything it did was scrapped. Sonic Forces is a safe game with an experimental setup. Therefore, the designers decided 'fuck it' and made a bunch of stupidly short levels with virtually no connection to the story. Lost World was rough around the edges with it's parkour system, so complexity of movement was scrapped. People liked classic sonic in Generations (because it was new classic gameplay straight from Sega and it made sense in the plot), so he was roped in for no reason. And of course, most of the game can be beaten with a single hand on the controller because of how dumbed down and automated it is. Forces is a mess when it almost had to be a masterpiece, with everything going for it. It had the base of Generations, the hype of its story, and the expectations of quality set up by Mania. It had 5 years between Lost World and launch. And yet, it flopped. Sonic Team has grown a kneejerk reaction to criticism. If someone says something doesn't work, then they cut it. While 06 might have come and gone, its lingering effects have been felt on the franchise and its insistence on avoiding anything to do with 06. When Unleashed came along, this dramatic reversal seemed to work. And since then, the immediate reaction has always been to remove.

So is this the unofficial sequel to Movie Madness?

Holy shit, where to begin.... I loved all the references to Sonic fan creators and how you accurately represented the state of the fanbase, (especially how all the good ones are just quietly enjoying themselves,) and all the other references to different franchises too. I also like the part with Sonic becoming self-aware and how you critiqued how dumb and repetitive all the jokes like that are. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I like how that part about taking a step back is about how we, sometimes, just need to chill, and reflect on the current state of things and question if what we're doing is the right thing. Lastly, the jokes about Classic Sonic were gold.

An epic conclusion man. And all it took was a bad Sonic game to make everyone leave... Not too sure if that's an omen or if its just another example in the continued cycle of masochism fans put themselves under when they become a fan of this series. I gotta say Infinite was infinitely better written here than he was anywhere else, even in a parody sense he was at least given a more defined backstory and resolution to his character arc. Also RIP Dracold. And hopefully Luke escapes that fan character's foot.

this was...so crazy. But it gave me a sense of satisfaction that the original Sonic Forces would never have given. Almost every element in it was a reference that I understand and appreciate. This is a masterpiece of genius.

Guess I'm a bit late, but I gotta say, this was quite a trip. And this last video was a really cool celebration of the Sonic community, and an awesome way to criticize its faults (lots, and lots of faults). Here's hoping the next Sonic game is better focused than Forces! Even though I kinda liked it.

I will be honest, I enjoyed this Finale. Especially didn't expect Mister Metokur to appear. It was funny, entertaining, self-aware... basically, everything a parody should be. Great work. ;P
