Don’t Stop Me Now being used in the USA commercials is actually a really smart decision, not just because it’s an overall good song which might get both young and adult fans interested in buying the game, but it also kinda fits with Sonic’s personality, with him wanting to keep on running and defeat evil, we’ve gotten many Sonic songs like this before (Sonic Boom, Sonic Drive, It doesn’t matter, etc) so it just makes sense why they wanted to use that song.

The song used in the Launch Trailer and the Live Action TV Spot is "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. However, the Launch Trailer was taken down from the official Sonic The Hedgehog KZfaq channel, along with many other major companies' channels promoting the game a year later, suggesting that the song was only licensed for one year. Only a few videos of the Launch Trailer are still around online. (For example this video)

I think it was cool to see they used a song from the first sonic movie
