I'm finally back to modding again!
This next major project is a port of a stage that comes from Sonic Forces.
I decided to do Metropolitan Highway since it's one of my favorite stages and has less issues to work with compared to the others. There is no release date as of right now.
*Note: There are a few problems present in the video.
- The signs at the beginning of the stage are too bright and lack the crt scan lines
- The glowing green light which flows from the arch made of tubes looks odd.
These are due to an issue with the shaders. I will work on finding a fix for it later on, in the meantime this is as close to the original I could make it.

Frontiers Sonic is the example of maximum control, minimum flow. I still love the cyberspace stages, but coming off of other games, he takes some getting used to.

@@miadatenshi9903 true, but I mean in terms of general control. The other games like Generations, Heroes, and Adventure, letting go of the stick will have sonic slow down before stopping. In Frontiers, letting go of the stick has Sonic stop on the dime with little to no delay. I don't think this is bad, as it allows better control and precision, but the other games had a more natural flowing approach to control.

I'd say it lacks polish, it feels unfinished and almost robotic, it doesn't feel natural And I think learning its weird physics and movement is kinda part of its unintentional appeal

@@DewMan31 cool thing is that you can change the settings (even on console) to make him stop slower. I can say it does make the precise platforming in some areas harder, though.

Frontiers Sonic is very much tuned for traversal in a large, open zone. These stage mods, and even Cyberspace, look clunkier than usual because the hallway level design isn't really meant for this Sonic.

You know, the enviromental works in sonic forces is really gorgeous. Its just sad that it was used on a plain level design.

Thank you for working on this This was a Stage i actually liked in Forces (Good Music, cool Visuels, completly Original) Tbh, i think many Forces Stages would work better in Frontiers (Mainly because Frontiers requires more Input from the Player)

I dream about playing Forces and Colors levels in Frontiers ( that's to say with Frontiers gameplay)

My favorite stage in the whole series is now in Frontiers, excellent! I was hoping Metropolis was gonna be an open zone before the game released😅😂

I like this because youre the first to import this stage with 2d and 3d level segments and it was sick and incredible level design Keep it up boi

We need a complete adaptation by taking advantage of things like skid panels (swapping missiles for flying mines)

I like how the lighting looks in this mod, the darker shadows make all the buildings look a lot more distinguished to me

Thanks! The problem with doing that is it would be very challenging since it requires a lot more thought and effort. Also time. It's a good idea, but I just don't think I'm willing to go that extra mile though.

I don't actually use physics mods myself, but Tracker's Physics seems to be a good choice for this stage. It's one of the more easier ones to control and has a nice balance between speed and turning.

Incredible . The last time I tried to port a stage with 2D/3D perspective, Sonic always left the transition with open world physics. How did you manage to get around this?

Thanks, actually I have not tested with 2D/3D sections yet. I'm just using a camera volume for the side view. But I do know that it is possible since my friend has managed to do it with his Dragon Road port.

@@TrueFalses very late reply but personally I think it would be wise to put this over a different stage instead of 1-1 because some people may want to use this with another stage mod only to realise that they both go over 1-1 so if I were you I’d probably put this over 3-5 or 3-4 sense those levels haven’t been covered yet and I’d say are pretty bad stages. Either way looking forward

Frontiers really should've just removed the 2D segments, it always ruins the flow. The cyberspace levels ripped from the Adventure games show that you can have interesting gameplay with just 3D

At 1:16 can that rail be put into the open zone? I know there are mods that retexture the black rails, but could it be used to retexture the white ones?
