@@noice9193 Giganto is easy and you can cheese the Knight if you get a lot of time. For the second phase just pick a corner, wait for Knight to come close and Sonic boom when it's about to pass through. Wyvern... you just gotta do a lot of waiting. And punished with more waiting if you mess up a cycle.

King coco's challenge turns wyvern from the easiest titan, to the absolute hardest. You literally cannot hit it without getting the perfect parry

@best_mate4565 And worst of all, the parry window for Wyvern is inconsistent. In Phase 2, you have to parry its second attack before it's on the *verge* of hitting you. Who in the right mind thought *that* was a good idea?

@@DarkShadowX9 It could have worked if there were more obvious tells on when each attack would land. Instead, you have to memorize the timing. It's arguably not that bad, but in a time trial where you've got ANOTHER boss battle right afterward with Knight, it is a terrible idea.

The End really wanted everyone to perish by using Supreme to achieve its goal, but forgot that Sonic always comes out on top no matter how tough the battle is.

I originally only saw it near launch playing the Hedgehog May Cry mod with another mod that adds extra health for the titans, which basically turned every titan into a less severe version of this trial

As someone who took 8 hours to learn how to perfect parry all the bosses and beat the trial with 120 rings left on hard. "Just so you guys know, it is 4 in the morning." and "I found my flame now I wanna find my bed." both hit unnecessarily hard for me. That being said. I was very happy I spent so long perfect parrying once I hit the final boss.

Although I think all the complaints about the difficulty for this update are overblown, I did admittedly have to switch to Easy specifically for the Wyvern fight. Everything else I could do on Hard.

@@aidennicholson2109 Maybe when playing as Knuckles, I'd agree, but otherwise not really. Unless you count adding perfect parrying to bosses that weren't designed for it janky, then yeah, that's why I had to switch to Easy for Wyvern.

@KirbyPhelpsPK mainly referring to the regular game not being reliable, flying off the run on wall sections, glitching through sections on the towers, and of course the garbage camera in the final boss being obscured by trees and not being able to do anything about it besides hoping it doesn't happen the next time you fight him

From what I've read online, this update was basically the team experimenting with different characters, and that they're actually planning on making the next sonic game to be at least in the spirit of sonic adventure 3, and I am hype

that card toss reminds me of an old SNES game "Pocky and Rocky". Pocky's main attack involved tossing cards, unless she picked up Fire powerups. Rocky would throw Leaves instead. those powerups behaved in a very frustrating way, they would make your power DROP unless you picked up the same type twice in a row!

The towers on hard are considerably worse the more you fail. The first time through, you have lots of homing attack targets. Afterwards, you have to walk on tiny paths, land on precise targets, etc, because the blocks and things don't respawn. Maybe it's because I was using the default settings, but it was a pain. Hated the master king trial (had to use a guide and even then it took me hours, no reason to make it like that; I would've been fine with them doing that on hard, but even normal was absurd) and thought the new boss was way too unclear/the payoff of all your hard work being a worse parry was very disappointing. But in the end, we got to play SA1-style Tails again, and that's all I really wanted in a Sonic game (I've been waiting for that since I was a kid). Also, every new song was just amazing, Cyberspace or overworld, and they went way too hard with the cutscenes. Very excited to see the next Sonic game.

Even with the flaws leading up to it (even itself as, unless you know what you're doing, you will definetly have a hard time with it even in easy or normal mode) I can definetly say that the end in this update is one of, if not, my favorite final boss fight in the entire franchise. Lots of stuff in the update definetly needs fixing and maybe it will in frontiers 2 or whatever comes next after this but I still enjoyed my time with it (except the trials, those can screw off)

OK let me give you reasons why 1. spin dash wasnt in the original release, we had to wait for dlc to get spindash 2. the bosses suck, people like to say the spectacle makes it good but the gameplay on the bosses is button mashy 3. the parry is SUPER EASY, and makes literally any fight not feel fun 4. the combat is very mashy 5. cyberspace is very cool for speedrunning, but the physics in cyberspace sucks 6. the OST doesnt fit alot of the time with the boss fights, but the boss ost is cool 7. why doesnt the spindash not have momentum wtf? 8. THE MOMENTUM IS THIS GAME IS TRASH 9. somehow amy's glide is better than knuckles, his glide controls like garbage 10. this game isnt worth 60 dollars, they had 5 years and made a broken mess of a game 11. Cyberspace is literally just an excuse to reuse old assets in a boring way Sonic fans need to realise that it doesnt matter that "SONIC FRONTIERS IS THE NEXT BIG STEP" Grow up, its a fully priced game its not a fangame they had 5 years and came up with this? Dont kid yourself, this game sucks. I expect more from Sonic Team, but I do think Sonic Superstars will be good. @@gengargamer5657

With that attack cutscene that beat you in the The End fight, you need more than 100 rings or it kills you instantly.

Sonic and the Black Knight is a game I absolutely grew to love. Though, I've played both Secret Rings and Black Knight. Some parts of black Knight. are pretty rough especially for the lava area. But, it's a nice game. Probably pretty janky control wise though.

On my first run of the Master King Koco's trial I had a bug that meant that when I ran out of rings, I didn't stop being super Sonic, but when I was next hit I died, which I thought was actually a pretty neat way of handling the really low ring count of 400, since you're invulnerable until it's empty. Then I realised it was a bug the first time...

im suprised u never unlocked tails cyclone thing but unlocked most of amys stuff even her spindash. idk if u seen it, but the cyclone literally lets u skip everything u can go anywhere its so fun

so not only has my favorite sonic channel youtuber, choc, not fiddled with the controls to make frontiers a little easyer, he hasnt even got max anything for sonic, no max rings, no attack, defense, i feel so bad for you i really do. but i have to give you props for playing the hardcore darksouls frontiers for us.

Coming to this video after FINALLY COMPLETING THE FINAL UPDATE (besides new game plus). I think you replaying the game from the beginning is a good idea. They've made some updates to make the absolutely craziness that was the trials easier.

I cried the first time you beat it. This time I was BAWLING 😢 I was wondering when you'd get to this, and I'm super happy you got through it. When i first played the wyvern boss, i didnt know i could hold down the parry, and i only found out after i beated the game. So this update Brought back an old memory of mine. Trauma

I finished the update on hard YESTERDAY, loved it but it was damn hard. Ending was totally worth it though, and overall a great update. Also "wyvern is the easiest one," famous last words.
